Ozzy, Welcome!! Nice build and thanks for your service!! Feel free to ask questions. You'll find that most of the guys here are very supportive. Is there something significant behind the name "FEENIX"? Later,

With a little help from PowerPoint...I can see it all now oh so clearly...but how will we advertise it? Like a WWE event? The Raptor versus The Anti-Raptor!! Old School versus New School!! Pacific North West vesus Central California!!! Green versus Gold!! Or we could make it like one of these newfangled movies... "The Green Raptor takes on the Gold Medallion" Watch as they transform from mere plastic models into awesome show machines fighting for world dominance!! The possibilities are endless!!

Awesome weathering!! In the end, the "crash" only served to add "character" to a GREAT build. Keep up the GREAT work!!

A wheel, a lot of smoke... a lot of fun... Steampunk... DONE!

This is just too cool!! I really like the creative aspect of this type of build!! Thanks for sharing your creativity, imagination, craftsmanship and skill!! Later, -
Yes, and duly deserving of its own matching hauler and trailer!! I can already imagine it proudly and prominently on display at the 2013 NNL West!!

Bernard, Look at you!! I take a few days off from the forum and you finish up a sweet little gem!! The last time we spoke about this one you were still struggling with getting it done. I finally get some time to catch up and look at what I find!! To me, this is your best build so far. It is exactly what you said you wanted it to be, a very cool, highly chromed, glossy paint, Low Boy T show car!! Honestly, when I look at it now I see a matching hauler and a trailer on the horizon!! I know that you know what I mean!! Keep up the GREAT work, my old friend, Later,

OK...so I won't say "now you're cookin'!!" ...but I will say "it's really looking hot!!" I can't wait to see this one fully baked...or is it out of the frying pan and into the oven? Oh...too many cooking jokes and not enough time to list them all... Later, -

I couldn't help it In fact, I'm still laughing at that one Anyway, I'm glad to see that the headers I sent worked for you. They look like the fit really well!! Later, -

Those pictures on the black base look like you're really cookin' on this build, Bernard!! I couldn't resist -
The wood work looks GREAT, especially with the black!! Thanks for sharing!! Later,

Looking good, Bernard!! I'm glad to see that you ere able to come to terms with the paint. I remember when I got a bad batch of Testors clear lacquer a few years ago...what a mess it was to fix that, too... Later, -
Very nice build, my old friend!! Bring it when we go see Al in a couple of weeks... Later,

Curt, GREAT job, my old friend!! Bernard, The problem with clamping or pinning the parts as they cure is that they'll often stick together, causing a whole new set of problems when you try to separate them That even happens with lacquer based paints. I've seen on my models, even after several months of "cure time", that opening hoods/doors sometimes will stick a bit to the mating surface. Later,

Nice job lowering the car. The reworked stance looks pretty good! Keep building!!

I, too, tried to make a silk purse from this sow's ear. In the end I was never really satisfied with the body mods I made, but I bought several more as parts cars. Here's the "Work Bench" link to the one I built: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=28488 Here's the link tot he finished build: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=34926 Good luck with your build!!

That's coming along very nicely, Bernard! It looks like its almost prime time!! Later, -
Rob, As a former professional bodyman, it's always interesting for me to see how different people go about customizing 1:1 and model cars. When I built a 40 Ford Coupe a couple of years ago, I chose to modify the B and C pillars rather than add spacers to the top of the roof when I did the chop. While I was at it, I also slanted the B pillars to give it a more aggressive look, afterall, I dropped a 392 HEMI in under the hood of this one!! Here's the link to my build if you're interested in seeing some of the other mods that I did: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=18976 Here's the link to the finished build: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=26437 Keep up the good work!! Curt, my old friend...you better give those elves a raise in pay, it seems like they're slowing down a bit. Well, at least they're still doing GREATwork, even if they are a bit slower than before!! Later,

I think that looks a lot better, Bernard!! Especially from the front 3/4 view. It still has some rake, but doesn't look like it's snow plowing it's way down the road. Later, -
