Thanks, guys!! It's a 1:24th scale resin curbside kit from Fisher Model and Pattern. Here's a link to their website: http://fishermodels.com/ This one has the optional photo etched wire wheels from Herb Deeks. Later,

Thanks, guys!! Yes, Mike, this was at the NNL West. I have several photos of the 3 B.A.T. cars from the Blackhawk Museum. My favorite is B.A.T. 7. That's the one where the wings almost touch in the back. Later,

After a year of not building much, I finally finished the 1953 Alfa Romeo B.A.T. 5 resin model by Fisher that my good friend Bernard (GBK1) got for me last year. Since this is a curbside model, there are no engine or chassis pictures. Just body shots of a really cool car that I can only imagine what people thought of when they first saw it in 1953!! It looks really cool sitting in my display case next to my Danbury Mint 1963 Aston Martin DB-5!! Later,

Congratulations, my friends!! You both deserve the award!! It may have been my feeble-minded idea, but you guys both did a GREATjob of making it a reality!! Curt, Make that base a little wider and I'll have mine ready for the 2013 NNL West!! Later, -
Jay, I probably have a couple extra sets of those mirrors. If you're interested, send me a PM with your address. I fixed the broken links in the post of the pics for the 57 pickup. If you're interested in seeing what was originally in the post, here's the link: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8528 Later,

Thanks, Jay!! The '57 pickup was done in a Corvette theme for the 2007 NNL West 50 year celebration of the '57 Chevy. The mirrors are from the Z06 Corvette that was used for much of the chassis and drivetrain. Here's a link to the post: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8528 I'm not sure why, but some of the pictures don't seem to download anymore... Later,

Jay, It looks like you're off to a good start on your custom Cameo. Here's a couple of pictures of ones I built several years ago. To fix the ill fitting front windshield, I glue a strip of 0.03" styrene to the bottom edge of the glass, (actually its the window trim), and sand to fit. Once you've got it fitting well you can either add Bare Metal Foil or paint to cover the styrene you added. Later,

How about "small details for a small car"? no...that just doesn't work... Oh well. Unless I have a problem, it will be done by Friday... -

Sounds GREAT!! I'm still making slow but gradual progress on the Alfa...all of the major parts are painted...need to do a bit of detail work before I glue the interior to the body and then glue the body to the chassis... We're all looking forward to a duck dinner!! -

That's coming along very nicely, Bernard!! You're right...that engine is HUGE sitting in front of that narrowed body!! Later, -
Here's one where I shoehorned in the engine and interior from a SVT Mustang
-
Here's one I did in 2008... The front and rear seats and the steering wheel came from a ZR1 Vette. The console and the dash are from the '58 Impala.

Yeah...I'm not sure how "finished" mine will be... I still have a lot of stuff going on at home that's keeping me away from the bench... -
Thanks, Virgil...but I'm still working on a curbside resin kit that I started in March... It takes me 3 days just to figure out what colors I want to use. Keep up the GREAT work!! I'm looking forward to your next book!!

Very cool, quick build!! -
Yeah...like Curt said, I've been busy with several other projects and family "stuff", but I finally got back to this one over the weekend. The paint is polished, the BMF is done and I've painted the interior parts to match some really good interior pics I found online. I've got a little bit of detailing to do on the seats and the door panels before I button this one up and post it "Under Glass". I'll get a couple of pics posted later this week before the body gets glued to the chassis pan. Later,
