  1. Oh yeah...that old Potvin setup is just too cool!! Were you able to find some good pics of the waste gate and intake detail for that setup? (I can't tell from this pic if you added those details...) In this pic, those six spring loaded bolts on the right-hand side control the waste gate pop-off pressure.
  2. Sir, yes, sir!! Actually, I have two models on the bench. I need to get some pics posted of the second one. Later,
  3. The engine detail looks awesome, Bill!! But..you missed the NNL West!! What happened?
  4. Cool replica, Lyle!! It looks like you nailed it!! Later,
  5. Yeah...Curt and I were just talking about how dazed you were last year with the whole NNL West thing, having never been to one before... As you had mentioned, and we observed, you knew what you were in for this year and came prepared for all the fun and excitement that is the NNL West!! I'm already getting ready for the next one!! Later,
  6. This one is starting to remind me of the Future Rat that I build a couple of years ago...long and low... These builds are so much fun!! Later,
  7. The engine detail, (as usual), is AWESOME!! The door panels look pretty cool, too!! I have got to get back to building...
  8. The frame looks GREAT, Dave!! I know how much work is involved in getting something like that designed and built square!! You're doing an awesome job!! Later,
  9. Clay, I'm sorry to hear about your loss, but I'm glad that you're back with your family. Regards,
  10. The frame is looking pretty good, Dave!! Can you finish it in 5 weeks? It takes me that long to get the shrink wrap off of the box!! Later,
  11. Does that qualify me as one of Bernard's elves? Later,
  12. I'd love to get a lathe and a mill to make parts like that, but I know if I did that I'd never finish a model!! That's some GREAT looking stuff!! Please keep us posted on your progress. Later,
  13. Bernard, Between Ed's chop and section, along with the deleted running boards and lowered stance and that you provided, this is one cool looking ride!! And...I was glad to help out with the BMF... Later,
  14. Now I see why I haven't noticed your finished models on the forum...you're posting them, (appropriately so), in the Drag racing Models category that I rarely look through... Being typically short on time, I usually only scan through the On the Workbench and Under Glass sections. I guess that I'll have to start looking here more often. Your work is incredible!! Did you post pictures of the salt flat race bike on this forum? I haven't found it, yet... Thanks for sharing,
  15. Brian, It was good to see that you made it after all!! Congrats to my big friend, Anthony, for his People's Choice Award!! It, like John Teresi's land speed bike, had to be seen to truly be appreciated!! The pics just don't do them justice!! Lastly, thanks for posting the pic of my trio !! See you next year!! Later,
  16. I agree with these guys, you can't beat the Dremel Stylus for size, shape, power, ease of use... Since I started using it a couple of years ago, all the other Dremel tools have been given away. Later,
  17. No problem, Bernard!! By the way, you left your sheet of BMF on my desk... Later,
  18. Oh yeah...you're thinking of the metallic rose colored convertible with the same nose as the blue one that I haven't finished...I forgot all about that one (since it got put back in the box...). Maybe that one will have to find it's way north to get finished! Later,
  19. Bernard, It looks like you might have this one finished in time for the NNL, too!! You and Curt are going to put me and my 4 builds for the year to shame just with your shear volume!! Maybe I'll have you come down early and help finish up some of my stuff!! Later,
  20. Very nice!! I really like the color combination!! Later,
  21. No...you're thinking of the blue '49 coupe/hardtop with the Mustang SVT engine and interior. I was thinking of this one...mostly stock with the SBF engine, drivetrain, tires and wheels from the Revell '32 Ford coupe. Later,
  22. The paint work is awesome!! I don't envy you in getting all of the BMF work done on that bohemoth!! Those old cars from the 50s and 60s had a lot of chrome and stainless steel trim on them. Later,
  23. Looking good so far!! I may have to get one of those kits!! Keep up the GREAT work!! Later,
  24. AWESOME tutorial, Virgil!! I've weathered several models in the past, but I've never tried using baking soda for the rust. I'll have to give that a try the next time I get around to building a backyard diorama. Thanks!!
  25. These show rods are just too cool, especially when you get to see a large collection of them. Thanks for sharing,
