  1. Thanks, Mike!! Yeah...I'm sure that Bernard will like the '32. I built it per his description of the ideal, stock '32. Thanks, Randy!! Yes, it's great to share models with friends. I hope that you're enjoying the '49 Merc as much as I'm enjoying the '58 Pontiac. Later,
  2. Thanks, Donnie!! I look forward to seeing more of your stuff in Stockton and at the NNL West!! Thanks, Peter!! I think that you too should make a hauler and trailer for some of your vacuformed concept cars!! They are truly incredible!! Later,
  3. Thanks, guys!! Yes, it's a pretty tight fit, but it's all in there!! Later,
  4. Well...I only finished 4 models in '09. The first one was the hauler for my Raptor show car. The second was the trailer for the Raptor show car, (yes, trailers count when you only finsh 4 models in one year). The third was a fully fendered '32 Ford roadster with a flattie that I built for my friend, Bernard (GBK1). He didn't know when I posted the question on the board regarding "what would you build given the multiple variants of '32 Ford parts offered by Revell?" that I was actually asking him for input on a model that I wanted to build for him. Thanks for the complete description, Bernard!! Last for '09 was the chopped and tubbed '40 Ford coupe with a 392 HEMI from the Revell Willys Street Rod kit. Well I hope to build more than 4 models in 2010, or at least finish a few of the ones that I started several years ago... Later,
  5. Very nice weathering!! All you need to sell the effect in 1:1 is a drag strip diorama to sit it on!! Later,
  6. Nice build!! I really need to build one of those kits for my Vette collection. Later,
  7. Very nice build, Marcos!! I'd want to keep it, too!! This certainly is one of Revell's best kits!! Everything fits together so well. Later,
  8. But they were the sites you told me about!! Actually, either the motherboard or the processor died. After a few random issues recently that a reboot usually resolved, I got the "Blue Screen of Death". After that it wouldn't even boot to the BIOS screen... Thanks, Mike!! Yeah, between a dead computer, working on my son's cars and the holidays, I haven't had much time for the forum. Hopefully I'll get my computer back soon and I'll be back in business. Now all I've got to do is figure out where my wife left the camera...
  9. Wow, Mike!! You've sure got that thing low in the front!! The chop job looks pretty good, too!! Keep up the GREAT work!! Later,
  10. It looks like you're off to a GREAT start!! I really like the chassis mods you've made!! I've never been a fan of the Duvall style of windshield, but it seems to work well with the tire, wheel and engine combination you're going with. Later,
  11. Very nice work, regardless of his age!! I too would proudly display that model in my case!! Thanks for sharing,
  12. Thanks, Neal!! I actually finished this one several weeks ago but I was delayed in posting it because my computer at home died a horrific death...
  13. Thanks, guys!! Yes, when it comes to engines from the 50s through the 70s, it's hard to beat the look of a big old HEMI!! Later,
  14. Another very nice, clean build, Randy!! I really like the wheels, too!! Keep up the GREAT work!! Later,
  15. Gray, I'm glad to see you back at it!! Keep up the good work!! Later,
  16. That is one wild design!! I really like the futuristic concept cars!! Thanks for sharing,
  17. Way too cool!! You certainly know how to super detail a model!! The machining work all looks awesome!! Thanks for sharing,
  18. Another AWESOME build!! I've never seen the kit that you started with but I have seen kits with individual body panels...what a pain... Keep up the GREAT work!! I can't wait to see what you build in 2010!! Later,
  19. The way you took the pics really add to the menacing look of the model!! For this model, I really like the affect!! Great job for a first build, too!! Thanks for sharing,
  20. No...this was the fourth of only four builds for '09...I finished it a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't have time to get it posted... Oh well...maybe 2010 will be a more productive year... Later,
  21. Thanks for all of the compliments, guys!! I really appreciate them!! Yes, the HEMI is really wedged pretty tightly in there!! The paint is Testors spray can, 2 stage lacquer. I really like the ease of use and the results. Later,
  22. Thanks, Bernard!! Since I built it from your description of the perfect '32 Ford built from the existing pool of Revell '32 Ford parts, I was pretty sure you'd like it!! Thanks, Gray!! I can hardly wait to see your new builds!!
  23. Thanks, Randy!! How's that '49 SVT Merc holding up in the east-coast weather? Thanks for the compliments!! I really like your "turret" description of the stock top!!
  24. How did you know that's what I did?! That was the only way to get it to fit!!
  25. Thanks, Dave!! I'm working on the AMT '39 Chevy Wagonrod with a few minor body mods...specifically those aweful headlights... Thanks, Bernard!! I cut down the stock windshield to fit in the opening, then added half-round styrene to the bottom edge to make the moldings look uniform around the entire opening. Later,
