  1. Yeah...he really needs to update the picture in his avatar!! Happy birthday, my very old friend!! So, if you're 60 then we've known each other about half of your life!! Man oh man...that's a long time!! Later,
  2. Any progress on this one???
  3. Bernard, Sorry, but I've been too busy with "family stuff" to look through my stash for a better set of front seats for you. I may have time this Sunday, depending on how things go Saturday...that's after I get my home computer back from a replacement of the motherboard that took 6 weeks to complete... Later,
  4. You're like a machine!! I've got to come by and setup a camera in your garage to see how much of the building you do and how much is done by your elves!! So, how many new builds are you planning on bringing to the NNL West??? Later,
  5. Is there any model building challenge that you won't try, my old friend? This is one that I definitely would have given to the elves to conquer... It looks like you'll have this one finished in time for the NNL West, too!! Later,
  6. See what happens...I go away for a few days and evryone else gets busy building!! It looks like you've got a pretty good handle on this one, Bernard!! This will look really cool sitting next to the '40 Ford I just finished; showing two completely different approaches to modifying the 40 Ford!! Later,
  7. Don't forget his elves!!
  8. Well, if there's anyone who can complete this build in time for the NNL West, (and do a nice job), it would have to be you and your little elves!!
  9. I vote "real", too!! Awesome build!! Later,
  10. That's a very nice build all around!! The colors, details and stance all come together for one GREAT looking build!! Later,
  11. Very cool!! I can see why Treehugger Dave likes it!! The colors look close to the ones I used for my '40 Ford, but I'm sure that you used a lot more paint than I did!! Thanks for sharing,
  12. I've got to agree with Eric on this one, but I also understand that these ARE the "matching" seats from another kit. I'll look around to see if I have any front seats in the "parts bin" that match the back ones... Later,
  13. I've got to agree with Randy on this one!! It is just way too cool!! Thanks for sharing,
  14. I really like the additional chassis mods!! Are you going to rework the engine mounts, too? Later,
  15. Thanks, Brian!! With only 2 of the 4 being new since the last NNL West, I won't be needing too much table space in February!! See you there!!
  16. Very nice work, as usual, Randy!! The colors, wheels and trim work all come together for one very well built little bug!! Later,
  17. Well, if you set it up with online ordering and the ability to pay online I will get at least one calendar, two T-shirts, AND, I'll renew my subscription to the magazine (which I haven't gotten around to for about a year...).
  18. Very nicely done!! The extra details look GREAT!! Later,
  19. Maybe an easier way to buy them online directly from the MCM site with a PayPal option would have helped...
  20. I thought that I wrote the book on that story!! That's what happened with my last build, the '40 Ford coupe. It stalled for a while waiting for a few parts I needed for the engine. By the time I got the parts and got back to building it, I had lost most of my interest in the model and was already off building something else... The detailing you've done looks really good. This was always one of my favorite Porsche race cars!! Later,
  21. Thanks, my old friend!! Might I inspire you to build a show car with a truck and trailer, too? The hardest part is deciding what to build! Thanks, Chris! With my background as a bodyman, I really like customizing the bodies...I just hate how much longer it takes verus building something right from the box. Later,
  22. Thanks, Bill!! Yeah...I've got a few that don't need too much more before they're done...besides me getting interested in finishing them... Thanks, Greg! The show car was finished towards the end of '08. The truck and trailer were built in early '09. I had them done in time to show them as a set at the NNL West last March. Later,
  23. Tito, I'm glad to see that you're back at it!! The '66 Chevelle looks awesome!! That bad boy looks like it's almost ready to go "Under Glass"!! Later,
  24. Hey Gregg, Is there going to be an MCM calendar for 2010?
  25. Thanks, Jay!! They look OK for the amount of time that I put into them...but they're certainly not in your league. Some day I'd like to get a small mill and lathe to machine some of my own parts, too. That makes such an enourmous difference in the look of the finished model. Later,
