  1. The gray body with the red wheels looks really nice!! It looks like you had to do a bit of work on the firewall to get those big heads to fit. Nice job!! Thanks for sharing,
  2. Looks like you're almost there, Bernard!! The chassis and interior work looks really nice!! I can hardly wait to see this one at the NNL West!! Later,
  3. Looking good, Alyn!! The brass deck lid is a nice touch. I'm pretty sure that the stock head from the Revell '40 Ford coupe are center outlets. I may even have a spare set...I'll look when I get home. Later,
  4. It looks like you're off to a good start, Bernard!! It's interesting to see how Ed cut the top to achieve the chop while maintaining the original placement of the quarter glass. He obviously used two kits to chop it the way he did... This will look cool at the NNL West show sitting next to the 40 Ford I plan to have finished by then!! We'll have to get Curt to build one, too!! Later,
  5. Very well done, realistic weathering!! That reminds me, it's time to build a few dioramas to sell at the NNL West!! Thanks for sharing,
  6. Sounds good to me...I've already sent stuff to Clay before...
  7. Very nice!! This is an instance where most people will know the story just from looking at the pics!! Thanks for sharing!!
  8. Awesome work, Peter!! The body design looks perfect from every angle!! I can hardly wait to see what comes next!! Thanks for sharing,
  9. Very cool build!! The paint and chassis work look AWESOME!! How about a shot of the bottom!! Thanks for sharing,
  10. Have we reserved our table yet??
  11. Well, you can always do like I do...setup a nice little photo stand inside... I don't know about you, but most of my indoor pics look better than the ones I've taken outside...
  12. The engine work looks really nice!! It's interesting to see the tall T body channeled over the frame...most of the ones you see are chopped... Thanks for sharing,
  13. Another cool looking build, my old friend!! Where do you get the time??? I'm still looking at, (not working on), my '40 Ford and the '50 Chevy Z06 pickup... Between my youngest son coming home for the weekend and the usual array of "stuff" to do on the weekends, I'm not making any progress on any of my builds...except for that secret one that's nearing completion that I haven't told anybody about, yet... Later,
  14. This one is coming along very nicely!! All of the detail work looks GREAT!! Thanks for sharing,
  15. Great looking chassis, nice paint job!! From my slot car days, you'd need to do more than just rub out the paint to make it look new again after I raced it!! Thanks for sharing,
  16. Another GREAT looking slot car!! And, another opportunity for someone who drives slot cars like I do to ruin a perfectly good paint job!! Thanks for sharing,
  17. The paint work looks GREAT!! That is definately too nice to use as a slot car, (at least the way I drive them!!) Thanks for sharing,
  18. And...to get a better appreciation for what went into this build, here are a few pics of what Neal had to start with... This picture of the fender/floorboard casting was taken after I added a bit of styrene to extend the floorboard and enlarge the tunnel to fit over the engine he wanted to use. From my prospective. this was not the worst resin casting I'd ever seen, but it did need a lot of work to get to where Neal wanted it... We also needed to create a firewall and reshape the upper cowl area to align with the top of the hood. To make the sides of the hood look like the ones on Neal's 1:1, rectangular brass stock was inserted into the sides and filed to fit. The fit of the hood sides, top and radiator shell was so poor, we decided that it would be best to glue the hood sides and the radiator shell to the body before it was painted. To help make sure everything stayed in place, brass reinforcements were added between the hood sides and the inner cowl area and between the hood sides and the radiator shell (seen below). This also helped make sure that the side opening hood top would stay aligned after painting. So, in personally knowing what Neal had to deal with from the very beginning of this build, I have to commend Neal on the GREAT job he did getting this one "Under Glass"!! Later,
  19. Very nice work, my old friend...winglets and all!! Later,
  20. Looks good, Neal!! Glad to help!! Later,
  21. Another really nice build, Alyn!! All of the brass parts really help sell the realistic look. I can't wait to see your outdoor pics for your "Under Glass" post!! Thanks for sharing,
  22. Very nice work, Peter!! You added the perfect color combination, too!! Thanks for sharing,
  23. Everything about this build looks just right!! The blue and white with the wide whites are a great combination of colors!! The Edelbrock kit adds just the right abount of "bling" to the engine bay. Thanks for sharing!!
  24. This is coming together very nicely, Bernard!! I really like the frame work in the rear!! Don't stop now!! Later,
  25. That is one really well built slot car!! The color is awesome!! Thanks for sharing!! Later,
