Clay asked for me to post this picture of Amelia Saralyn Jones for you guys to see. She was born at 9:34 am, weighing in at 9lbs 12oz and 20 inches long. Welcome to the world, Amelia!! Congratulations to the entire family!!

Bernard, Yes, I too have tried to build strictly OTB...I can't seem to get there either!! At least you kept moving forward with the build when the paint went south on you. I'll often take one of those builds and put anything of value into the parts bins and scrap the rest. Good job staying with it!! Yes, the front view looks GREAT!! I also prefer the large headlights over the small ones in the kit, even on a fenderless build like this one. I too would rather see the top of the grille shell aligned with the top of the cowl, but it looks much better a bit lower than it would if it was higher (which is the more common mistake). The misalignment is so slight that I doubt most people will even notice it. Yes, build another one!! We all learn from each build, making the successive builds look that much better!! Keep the faith, my friend!! You're getting your model building chops back pretty quickly while learning how to use a lot of the materials and techniques that weren't around when you last built model cars. I applaud you for your effort and the rapid progression you’ve made in regaining your skills with each new build!! Later,

David, The paint and decals look GREAT!! How about some interior, chassis and engine pics?! Thanks for sharing, -
Cool old gasser, Rollin'!! I didn't know that you were into building gassers!!
-
Looking good so far... Early gassers are one of my favorite types of models to build, so I'll be watching this one... Thanks for sharing,
-
All I have left to do is paint and BMF the body!! Everything else is built and ready for final assembly!! I'll paint it this weekend, I promise!!
-
That is such a cool little car!! I really need to finish mine, but I just can't seem to manage getting around to painting a model that's made from white plastic with white paint!
-
Very nice, Jonathan!! I really like the tub!!
-
I'll second that!! The truck is looking good, but the Camaro is really nice!!
-
I knew that you won an award...I just couldn't remember what it was for!! What a drag it is getting old!! I can't wait to see what you do with the '32!!

Bernard, That is definitely "I WANT A TICKET" RED!! Yes, that's my favorite shade of red! Great job on the entire build!! That grille is really nice!! I can't wait to see this one at the NNL West!! Later,

Well, I've seen Curt's Brut car at the model shows and I can assure you that: 1) the pictures don't do it justice; 2) It looks better than any of my diecast cars, and they're really well done!! Later,

At the model show and swap meet and I got: 1) The reissued Ala-Kart, (Great box art of a kit that I'll probably never build); 2) the reissue of the "Lil' John Buterra Revell '26 Ford T Sedan Delivery, (a great parts kit); 3) The AMT '57 Vette Street Machine, (future home for a Z06 engine and drivetrain); 4) the Millenium edition of the AMT '50 Ford convertible, (Future home for a 4.6L Cobra engine and drivetrain); 5) an AMT Display Case Trailer, (undecided, for now...); (Bruce had a 5 for $30 special); 6) the Beatnik Bandit, (more box art of a kit I'll never build); 7) the Mysterion, (yep, even more box art of a car I'll never build from one of my heros in the custom car world); 8) the Revell Chrysler 300M HEMI SRT8 (Raffle prize that I'll give to some aspiring young model builder...). On the award side, I got the Best Engine award for my '43 Willys pickup; my friend Jerry Cardinal got the Best Under Construction award for his brass version of El Matador; and my other friend, Mike Miller, got the Best of Show award for his very well built 1907 Pocher Fiat. All-in-all it was a pretty good day!! Special thanks to Bob Carrol for continuing to host the event!! We all hope that you get better soon, Bob!!

If you could only choose ONE photo of any of your builds, wich would it be?

Virgil, That is the PERFECT diorama for your Merc!! It doesn't get much better than that!! -

Very nice use of a diorama and lighting, Brian!! That looks like an early morning shot in someone's shop just before they start getting their Chevys ready for the next show... -

Now that one reminds me of days long gone...Thanks for sharing and thanks for the memory!! -
Yeah...I agree with Harry.
-
I'll second that!!
-
Very nice!! The car looks good, too!!
-
Thanks!! Yeah...I like to Ford engines in Ford cars, Chevy in Chevy... Thanks!! That's too funny!! I guess that I'd have to agree with you on that one. The steering wheel is way too contemporary for the rest of the build, even though the seats came from the same Mustang kit as the steering wheel...
