  1. Oh, and next time you can build a parachute pack for me! Later,
  2. Very nice build, Randy!! I saw one of these on the freeway last Friday when I was driving home from work! Cool car!! Later,
  3. Nice looking hotrod, Michael!! The BMF work looks spot-on! Later,
  4. Randy, I didn't know that you were injured! I hope that all is well. It's good to see you building, again!! I may have to get one of those cabs from Norm. Later,
  5. Bernard, I can almost smell the fuel and the tires burnin' from here!! Excuse the pun, but you "nailed" this one with that hot little Buick engine sitting perfectly poised in the back of that rail!! The thing I always liked most about those old dragsters was just how dangerous they looked, even when they were parked!! Keep up the GREAT work, my friend!! Later,
  6. Another GREAT build, Randy!! Now I know why I haven't heard from you in so long!! Your build is making me reconsider my original plan of replacing the straight six from the kit with some modern V8! How has Chumley been? Otis is doing well. He now has a female Rottweiler puppy named Emma to play with. Later,
  7. That's too funny, George...that's what I thought when I saw it, too!! GREAT job on the carb linkage!! Where did you get the blower pulleys and belt from? Later,
  8. Now there's one happy boy!! Great job, guys!! Congratulations on your win!! Later,
  9. It looks like you're off to a great start, Ed!! I think that the Willys is one of Revell's best kits ever. The detail right from the box is GREAT and everything fits together so well. I've bought several of these kits just for their parts!! Later,
  10. Bob, That redesign REALLY works!! Too bad the boys at Dodge have decided to drop the Magnum. I hope to see this one finished!! Later,
  11. That's looking really sharp!! The slight recess on the grille seems to help reduce the "funk factor". With as round as this body is, I don't think that there's too much more you can do to it to maintain it's original "look" without getting too extreme. Your's does a good job of maintaining the original look while adding a slightly modern, custom flair. Good job!!
  12. Looking good, Jerry! I'm sure that there's another Gerald Wingrove award waiting for you at the GSL for this one!!
  13. Interesting observation, John. I think that you'll find many people agree with you. Have you seen the May/June issue of MCM? Harry P made a similar comment about the grille in the Sketch Pad section of the magazine, stating "To me, the 1950 Ford F-1 is a bit of an ugly duckling. Its narrow grille and closely set headlights give it a dumpy look". His solution was to widen the grille opening, setting the headlights farther apart and widening the grille to fit between them. He also removed the nostrils on the front of the hood and pulled the side trim on the hood all the way back to the rear of the doors. If you haven't seen it, its worth a look. Keep up the GREAT work and the posts!! Later,
  14. No problem...send me a PM with your email address. Later,
  15. Oh yeah!! That old salt lickin' Avanti is going to look really good sitting on that matching trailer!! It "almost" makes me want to build another one, (but with all of the kits that I already have waiting for me to get to, probably not)!! Keep up the good work. I can hardly wait to see the Avanti on its trailer behind the matching hauler!! Later,
  16. Kurt, Send me a PM with your email address and I'll forward you the PowerPoint template and instructions. Later,
  17. OK, your CalSurplus parachute is packed and ready for shipment. I've got it on good word that you should see it by the weekend (if our deliveryman can get time off from his regular job to get to the post office by then). This may not stop or even slow down that old digger, but it'll sure be an intersting site when the driver pulls the cord and the balsawood filler pops out! Later,
  18. No...I'm busy finishing another build for an upcoming model show. Once that's done I can get back to the T-Bolt...
  19. Yep, a parachute pack with a quick release handle mounted in close reach to the fearless driver and this little rod will be ready for her maiden 1/4 mile run!! Keep up the great work!!
  20. Welcome, Kurt!! I can't wait to see you post some pics of the gasser you're working on...
  21. I'm not sure how old he really is, but I've heard tell that he once hung with Methuselah! Anyway, Happy Birthday!!
  22. Cool combo, and I'm Plum Crazy about the color!!
  23. Great looking chassis under a classic truck!!
  24. See!! At least I was going to build the model for you!!
  25. I used that photo as one of my references to add extra detail to the build!! It's a great piece of work!!
