  1. I agree!! Great looking futuristic design of a classic car!! I hope to see it finished!!
  2. Yep, I always use USPS priority mail and stuff usually arrives in 2 business days, 3 days at the most. The best part is, they will give you free boxes and labels to ship the stuff in when you use priority mail. All you have to do is ASK for them at the post office. According to my friend, Curt, they'll even deliver the boxes and labels to your house, if you ask them to!!
  3. Clay, Thanks for the suggestion and for providing us all with this opportunity to welcome back and thank the returning soldiers for their service. Please have Ani send me the information once she's up and around again. Also, I could use some guidance regarding the content of the letter. I find it hard writing to someone that I know nothing about other than the fact that they're returning from Iraq. Regards,
  4. According to Webster's; it's known as typing faster than you should...
  5. Oh yeah...I can easily see one of my many Willys kits headed down this path!! Thanks for sharing,
  6. Congratulations, my old friend!! I'm glad to see that you got the recognition you deserve for a great build. In closing, I have only two things to say: 1) I'm glad that you won't be seeling either of the dragsters on eBay; 2) You know where to find me when you get tired of having them in your collection! Later,
  7. That color really POPS outside!! Thanks for sharing,

  10. Brendan, GREAT job on the tires and wheels!! Thanks for sharing,
  11. That is just too freakin' cool!! Great job, Frank!!
  12. I like the look and the steep angle of the rear end!! Please keep us posted on your progress!! Later,
  13. Why? 1) Because we can; 2) Because we WANT to!! 3) Most importantly, because it's a lot better than some other things that we could be doing with our time and money!! If it's too much for you then take a short break, figure out what's important to you, set a couple of easy goals and get on with achieving them. Later,
  14. Clay, First of all, you're very welcome. What you and the rest of the servicemen and women do for all of us is worth more than all of the models I could ever send you. You just happened to be the lucky one that posts to the same forum as I do, have a young family, and remind me of what it was like for my wife and I when we were first married. Like I've told you, I know that you and Ani will do the same for some other young person when your kids are grown and you get the opportunity. Second, you're correct in stating that there are no locating pins for the rear fenders. If you use a bit of masking tape to hold the interior floor pan/running boards, the body and the bed to the frame, (using their locating pins), you'll see that the front lower corners of the rear fenders locate up against the back edge of the running boards. Hopefully this is something that most builders discover BEFORE they glue the rear fenders to the bed. Jeff, Like Clay's, mine is also pretty clean and free from flash. The trailer frame sags a bit in the middle, but overall it looks pretty good. They must have cleaned up the molds for this run. I've actually started building my truck, following along with some of the mods Foose made to his old Ford pickup, mostly tilting just the front of the roof down about 1 scale inch, (not a chop), and pie-cutting the hood about 2 1/2 scale inches. I plan on using many of the custom parts from the pickup kit to make a custom hauler for the Roth inspired hotrod I'm building that's near completion. Later,
  15. From the pictures, it looks like your bodyman did a pretty nice job getting that old B straight!! Please keep us posted on your progress,
  16. Mark, That old gasser is really coming along nicely!! Are you going to use the big PE foot for the gass pedal?! Where did the PE parts for the fire extinguisher come from? Thanks,
  17. Very nice!! Yes, I too like the final paint job the best!! Thanks for sharing,
  18. EXCELLENT!! The paint work is awesome!!, the BMF looks GREAT, all of the details make it look 1:1!! All you need is a little bulge in the bottoms of the tires to simulate the weight, a scale background and you'd make anyone believe that it's a full size car!! Keep up the GREAT work and the posts!! Thanks for sharing,
  19. Very fine work, Aleks...very fine indeed!! Keep us updated on your progress. This is GREAT stuff!! Thanks for sharing,
  20. Bernard, Thanks for the EXCELLENT review!! Any model magazine that I'd consider buying would have paid for a review that's this well written. YES!! Based on your review, I'll get at least one set, probably two or more if I can find them. You clearly described many of the things that I was curious about; specifically the differences between the Revell single-engine parts packs that I have several of and what's available in this offering. Again, thanks for the EXCELLENT review!! Regards,
  21. VERY NICE DETAIL WORK!! Those machined Moon tanks look GREAT!! If you're interested, send me a PM with your email address and I'll send you a PowerPoint file with photo reduced copies of the data plate for that gas tank. Later,
  22. Thanks for the extra pics!!
  23. Looking good, Brendan!! Another one for the NNL West!!
  24. Now take about the same amount out of the mid-section with your mighty ZONA and you'll be onto something!!
  25. And, you're very welcome, my young friend!! I'm glad to be able to help out a Marine, a family man, a model builder, a great dad and a new father all at once!! Even with everything going on with the new baby, taking care of Ani, David and Amelia, you'll probably get your truck and trailer built before I get time to take mine out of the box!! Congratulations, again!! Later,
