That bar is for the jack. the car was so low that you can't roll it under the chassie. I know the came with hidrolic jacks but they also use this technick. I guess they took them out to shave weight. this sample shows the removable version but in 86 the keept them during race.

When I got mine and open the box and checked the tires, I new I got sucker punched so I improvised and used the best parts to make something else, To start using wide fenders from a tamiya 935 modyfied the body and from imsa revel mustang, got the racing wheels and so on...this is how it end up ]

If you didn't showed the under side pics, I problably would mistaken for a real car. just sweet all around

Looking at a magazine article about the trans am camaros that dominated the 1992-93 series, I had enoff motivation to built them. I had the Hot Wheels Jack Baldwin car for a decade and a friend of mine gave me his Rain X champion car driven by Scott Sharp. I wanted to do a full detail model and not the out of the box built. I don't have time to write down the building prosses, so I am jus going to post pics.

Thanks for your motivation...now continuing with my 1967 my year of birth builts next I will be doing a custom 67 Cyclone.
