Yes he did raced a few times in Le mans but the cars did not finished. What a great piece this would be if someone can do a TV spot on this in the island.

I am now working on the graphics here are photos of the progress and also included photos of the 1:1 car and driver. those who follow IMSA and like me love the old days may remember Diego Febles. He was a pure talented driver. Worked his way up the ranks, doing the mechanics and the driving. One of his most memorable acomplisments was a 1st place in the gt class during the Daytona 24 hours in 78. I was a kid when I started watching him race in Puerto Rico and my dad use to tell me all about him. My dad was in the pits during that race and was able to take some pictures wich I lost. anyway thanks to goggle I was able to find this for reference. by the way Don Diego Febles past away early this year and this build will be dedicated to remember him.

Revell, you can find them in ebay. the kit has been discontinued but there are still lots of them outthere.

Funny you ask, because I keep buying and building the same things. Like the 80's racing imsa mustangs from revell also the 70's era funny cars. I have done the Jungle Jim vega about 4 times and planning o do another one. in the past 3 years I have build the 69 shelby from revell 3 times and the AMT 67 shelby twice.

The only use for that is promote new builders to start, but the local hubby stores is were the soul is

The way I see it Retro- stands for catching th e look of a classic model and incorporated in the new ones. Just like the new mussle cars and even eurocars like ferrari and mercedez. now Rat Rod,...is building a basic to radical ride out of spare parts, (NO NEW OR MANUFACTURE PARTS). Now I see the confussion. Like everthing a concept evolutions when it mixes with other ideals. and tht is just great. Car culture is just that, culture and we cant stop it from melting and re enventing it's self. LET'S ENJOY IT....CAUSE I DON'T THINK THE IDEA OF FLYING CARS IS NOT HAPPENING IN OUR LIVE TIME.

WHAT A BEAUTY !!!!!!!

To start, the floor pan, but with a hair dryer straiten as best as I could. The chassie was OK, The Boby also looked like it had a stroke, half of the car was droping, but with my hair dryer bend it back and it look strait now. Funny you say that, because if you look at the photo of the car in the box, you can tell how warped they are. instead of a road race car it looks like one of those hooper cars with the nose up. After you know how to correct those things, they are nice cars when finish.

I checked the video you did in You Tube and it blew my mind, Like your style of building, thanks for sharing your work

little more progress, painted the engine, added scratched built air filters and linkage and spark wires and a coat of black wash.

GM DID NOT LIKE IT, AND THEN THEY ALSO STARTED PUSHING RESTRICTOR PLATE TRYING TO SLOW THE BIRDS,....BUT IN MY OPINION THE FORDS BACK THEN WERE AHEAD IN TECH THAN THE GM'S....NOW EVERYONE IS ON TOP OF TECHNOLOGY. BUT CARS ARE AS UGLY AS HELL,....THEY LOOK LIKE CARDBOARDS.
