THIS KIT WHEN I GOT IT, WAS STARTED, SO I JUST TOOK IT APART AND RESTARTED IT, FIRST I STRAITEN THE CHASSIE AND PAINTED IT WITH THE COLORS JACK ROUSH USED IN HIS IMSA GTO STANGS BACK THEN. THE BOBY IS READY FOR PRIMER BUT THE RAINS DOWN HERE IN FLORIDA DON'T WANT TO STOP. SOON THE HOT SUMMER WILL BE HERE WITH SLIDE CHANCE OF HURACAIINES.,.

WORKED A LITTLE MORE ON THIS PROJECT SCRATCH BUILT THE REAR WING AND NOW I NEED TO DO THE BRACKETS THAT HOLDS THE WING IN PLACE.

I hope this helps...I scratch built the intercooler using the plastic from a CD case. I also mod the turbo, sanded out the filter and added the piece of metal tubing for a more realistic look, also using juicy juice straus, I made the air ducts for the brakes. plus plug wires.

I loved this car when it came out, so much that I have built them many times here are a few of mine

I Have made a few of this kits and what I do to make sure the platform is flat and strait. with a bow dryer , i heat it up while it seats in a flat surface and it tents to align with the surface.....after that you can built it up just fine.

I am building the Folgers/Motorcraft as we speak and this one got my attention,...WOW, WOW and Wow It looks great, very agressive LOOK, the details make it pop out. Great Job Bro, it gave me more a shot of motivation to finish mine.

This was the first kit I got back in 76 and haved buildt it many times but end up giving them as gifts. enjoy this one very much, looks great and is true all you said about the kit, lots of work to make it look desent but it is worth all the time,...great piece of drag history and one of my all time favorites.

I have this kit also in my stash, but untill I am ready to build it with a motor I am not goint to take it out. I was planing on getting a strait 4 toyota motor with a turbo set up from the part store but they are in the process of moving, and make the rest of the chassie from scratch. Thanks for keeping the group 5 fans happy here.
