  1. My younger brother asked me to build this for him close to 20 years ago. Finished in Tamiya Park Green, all kit decals. And he really preferred the nose with the straight across gold stripe. Accomplished that with pieces from 2 sheets of kit decals. He was thrilled with it, displayed it in his office at the dental practice where he worked. We lost him back in 2014, totally unexpected. It is now proudly displayed in my hobby room.
  2. So cool!
  3. Had this one for a long, long time sitting on the shelf. Had a little hiatus from building as we built a new home, but one big benefit of that is that I once again have a hobby room at home. This was one of the first ones I built. Just did some detail painting, particularly carrying paintwork down onto the front splitter. So glad to have it done after all this time.
  4. Thank you!
  5. Thanks!
  6. Yep. I lucked into finding a listing on Market Place. Guy was getting out of hard bod slot car drag racing. Got 4 kitts altogether.
  7. Sharp!
  8. Picked this up at my most local hobby shop a couple of years ago, the Lindberg version. Not sure why, it just called out to me. Then I got home and found out it was an actual vehicle. Kit is the Little Red Wagon, so not completely accurate for this one. But I built it box stock anyway. Got i to it and had a blast. Hated that the clear coat turned the white a little dirty looking.
  9. Thank ya Mike! If you build one, the red on the tail should be shaped just a bit different than mine. Sides are less angled going by decals. The few pics I found of the real car looked more angled to me. Ended up using 2 or 3 sets of the stripe, cut apart, then coaxed into position to match my paintwork.
  10. A few before body mounted pics.
  11. Yes. Yes it is. Have 2 of the Soapy Sales (guess I forgot about the first one bought), and just got a Ramchargers. Same exact kit.
  12. Very sharp!
  13. Very, very cool!
  14. My last completuon, finished up last year. Found the decals on Slixx, and this was my first build using them. Had an issue with the first set, all my fault, so bought a second. Ran into trouble with the red area, and they sent me another. Ended up masking and painting red area around scoop. Wheels, rear tires, steering wheel, and disc brakes are from Futuraattractions. They look awesome! Tried to do studs so wheels could come off, but did not work. And decided last minute to add plug wires, so not my best effort. Really happy with this one for sure. But was a lot more work than I anticipated! Thanks for checking it out.
  15. Good lookin build!
  16. Gorgeous build! I did the 1/25 RE Loner. Was given to me in 1978. Quite overwhelming for an 8 y/o. Finally finished it 24-25 years later!
  17. Thanks! espo, they had several colors on these. Green, red, a golish/ yellow, and a blue at least. Never did look to see if just optional, or the colors changed by year. Twokids, i like yours, and I feel better knowing I’m not the only one facing those issues!
  18. Finished as of 21April2020. All box stock, painted with Testors rattle can, Vallejo and Tamiya colors. Had a real one as a kid, enjoyed it a lot. Really enjoyed the build as well. The tires gave me fits. Lugs not wanting to line up, halves not matching up. Not sure how much due to my efforts, how much due to manufacturing. But for my first motorcycle build, I am happy.
  19. Great work! I have a '96 F-250 4x4 extended cab with a 460 in it. Awesome truck, and still going strong with 171,000 on it. Did you take pics of your own dash or did you get a pic somewhere else? Have a couple of these kits myself and I really like how you did yours. Later.
