  1. Thanks guys, I love seeing "modern muscle". IMO, nothing better than a classic car with all the comforts and technoligy of the late model muscle cars.
  2. Can't say that I do. I'm just getting back into modeling and picked this one up on ebay.
  3. Very nice work. Like the wheel choice. Looks like all that work opening the doors paid off. Really takes it to another level.
  4. Looks great. I love the one piece front end with the custom hood all molded together. Nice work.
  5. Build this around the beginning of the month. Nice build up even though I didn't have any instructions to work from. Painted up with Testors Lacquer Spray Fiery Orange and Blazing Black with a silver sharpie all under clear. Ended up using a LS1 out of the 04 GTO. The headers, exhaust, and intake are all different sizes of solder. More pics at my fotki site.
  6. I really like the looks of the lightning wheels.
  7. Thought I would share a few pictures of my progress. I am trying to make this one as close to what I can remember of Cougar my Father had when I was young. Pretty much a box build with some wiring and my fist attempt at some flocking carpet.
  8. Sure is some amazing paint work on that one.
  9. I really like the color choices and the wheels on this one. Great work
  10. I have finally finished up with moving to a new apartment and finished up this Ranchero. Nothing special but a good start for getting back into the hobby. I will be trying the mentioned method of spraying clear over my masking tape to keep the second color from running.
  11. Thanks Harry. I did not know that. I will pick some up this week and add it to my stock of supplies.
  12. I was just looking for a good BMF write up. I did a search and came across some great tips on working with foil, but nothing concrete start to finish. Just getting back into this I have been painting my trim and it is starting to look out of place compared to some of my work in other areas. Thanks in advance.
  13. I guess I'm a little easier to please than alot of you guys. For me the main thing is subject. If the model doesn't deal with a automobile that I am interested in then I really will never give it a second look. Maybe I miss out on alot of great models by having this mind set, but I loose interest if the car doesn't make me exicted to see the end result. Considering that I have just got back into this hobby I don't have a very deep opinion on some of these topics because nearly everything is new to me. Maybe when I am older I will be more willing to shell out some cash for a model, but at this point I an CHEAP. I enjoy the hunt for models on ebay, especially when someone is selling off a collection. I just can't justify spending over $25 for a model at this time in my life and in my level of modeling skill.
  14. Great work on this one. What wheels did you use?
  15. Really great work. Of all the builds you have posted up this one has the best detail work IMO. I will be looking forward to seeing more of your work.
  16. Congrats. Not to many things feel as good as quiting a bad job for a better one.
  17. Great work. The early Porsche era is my personal favorite.
  18. I love the look of that hood on the mustang from the year one tv spot. Great choice on the wheels. Did you use BMF for the chrome trim?
  19. Going with model. Something about the way the tires meet the ground. Tuff one though.
  20. Great information guys. I am in the process of apartment shopping and will have an extra bedroom to make into my model / workout room. I will be looking to incorporate some of these ideas in my own room.
  21. Welcome to the club. Like you I have just gotten back into things again. Nice work and looking forward to seeing more of your builds.
  22. Same here. But I would like to see some meeting pics as well.
  23. Welcome Tim.
