  1. I am looking to get into some more airbrushing on a couple models I have lined up. Can anyone tell me where I can get some stencils? I am really looking for "fire" and traditional flames. Any help is appreciated.
  2. Good information guys.
  3. Welcome to the Forum. Great looking wagon you have. Do you happen to have any more progress or finish pictures?
  4. I'm with these guys. Great color on the car and the wheels are the icing on the cake.
  5. And where might I be able to score one of those shirts????????????????????????????
  6. Scratched the wheelie bars, other than that it will be pretty much "pro Street"
  7. Great information on the files. I will have to get some sometime soon. Great looking cages as well
  8. Thought I would post this one up as it has been awhile since I posted any projects. Nothing out of the normal, just hacked the front off and smoothed the hood and nose into one piece. I will post a few more of the progress when I get to my desktop computer over the weekend.
  9. Welcome Clay, Some amazing diorama work you have completed. I look forward to seeing some more of your work. I make it out to my brother's house in St Pete a few times a year... and much in the modeling hobby to check out in that area that you know of?
  10. I like to build for and hour or so after my 7-3 at work. Building after work helps me cope with the insanity. I also like to actually accomplish something on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Some times I do get stuck away for work for extended periods of time (sometime a month at a time), so my building comes to a stop. Models don't travel when on airplanes and I don't think hotel staff would like me spray painting in my room.
  11. I only heat up the #11 blade to bend it. I only head styrene with hot water to help with bends. Thans for the heads up though... better safe than sorry.
  12. I will be making it out with a couple to show. I will be wearing a Chuck Norris shirt and have a wife with me (redhead). Say hello if you spot me as I don't know many of the guys from the board.
  13. Here is my botched second attempt at a hand build cage. One of the "secrets" that I use is a bent #11 blade. I heated one up red hot on the stove and bent it in a right curve. This allows me to cut notches in styrene for tight joints. I really think that a nice hand built cage can add a lot to a model car when compared to some of the cookie cutter pieces that come in some of the kits.
  14. Those are not bad. You should have seen my first few when I was young. For a 14 year old you seem to be on your way. Trust me, as you build you will gain more skills.
  15. I love it. Great ideas and the wheels really set it off.
  16. Beautiful car. The wheels look like the right choice and the hinged hood is a nice touch.
  17. Thanks a lot for the link. I also have a project that I will be needing some black trim. Welcome back to the hobby. This is a great place to gather some tips and information on this hobby. I look forward to seeing some pictures of your progress.
  18. Great work. All of carbon fiber makes it look really authentic. I am also interested in where the carbon decals came from.
  19. Drool.... my goodness that is some amazing paint work.
  20. Looks great. The stance is perfect. PS.. I was just playing GTA4 not 5 minutes ago
  21. Nice work on the pictures. I am personally looking forward to the new Challenger RT and the testors paint.
  22. Welcome to the site Scott. I'm sure you will find some useful information on here, as well as contributing some of your own tricks of the trade. I look forward to seeing some of your work. Where in the world are you located?
  23. Thank you very much. This model also has the dual blower setup but that was not the route I was planning.
  24. Can anyone tell me what this part is? The part in question is not in the instructions but fits in the front of the hood location. I an just not sure on this one. Any input is appreciated.
