  1. Nice work on the intake piping and an great choice with the wheels. Looking forward to seeing the final product.
  2. I am currently working on a 427 block with twin carbs and want to add on the detail master carb linkage setup I have laying around. Anyone have any good pics and information as to how this goes together? The kit has instructions but they are pretty tough to follow. Any help is appreciated.
  3. Amazing work you have put in on this car. What a great overall final product.
  4. Those are simply the most amazing decals I have seen. Great work.
  5. Grabber Green Testors.
  6. thepartsbox.com I have tried and failed at scratch building a quality turbo. Ended up just going with what was out there.
  7. Thanks for the comments and ideas guys. I am not positive what to do on the bed but I am leaning on leaving it open. The plan was to build a airbag setup with some styrene and some o-rings. I am sure it will either get painted up or cut out and have something smooth grafted in.
  8. Yes I would really like to see a picture of that.
  9. Seems like you have so many choices with how to take this kit that the options are endless. I have seen so many builds on the net that have given me some good ideas on this one. This is the stance I was going for. I need to figure out the front end but I have other things on my plate at this moment.
  10. Just going for something in the style that I would build for the street. Nothing special, just going to be a single turbo LT1 along with a small slick. The car will have a "mini tub" and full interior along with a cage. The only real exterior mod is an extended spoiler for the rear deck. Now I am just waiting on the turbo parts from partsbox.com
  11. I have made a little more progress on this one. Some pictures to add to the post. The front end has been cleared in this picture.
  12. Nice work Tom. Some nice color choices and you know I like the wheels on the Merc.
  13. I have tried the testors wet look clear and the tamiya clear with about the same results. Both clears seem to give a pretty nice finish.
  14. I might make it out to a meeting. Thanks for the input guys.
  15. I thought I would share a couple photos of my newest project. This is a $5.00 built kit that I picked up at a local show. The plans are to strip it down and make it a bagged show truck. This is my first attempt at this type of truck so any thoughts or tips are appreciated. This will be repainted. Only chassis work so far.
  16. Do you guys wet sand your base color before clear? I have worked on this process and had smoother results.
  17. I have bought from Ed on ebay in the past and his stuff is top notch. When I start a new project I check out his site to see if he has anything for it. Great guy.
  18. Anyone know of a club around the State College, PA area? I am currently a member of the Three Rivers Automodelers but find myself in the SC area for work a lot, and its looking like I might end up taking over our office in State College and making it our home.
  19. WOW Bill. That truly is some amazing foil work. Looking forward to seeing more of this one.
  20. Looking good Tom. You are making some quick progress on this one. The wheels are going to really set it off.
  21. Happy bday Harry. Check is in the mail
  22. Welcome to the Forum. Starting off at 12 is great. What got you into the hobby? Look forward to seeing some of your builds and how your skills sharpen.
  23. I could not have picked a better color for that car. Great work so far.
  24. My personal opinion is that the AMT kits that I have build do not fit quite as well as the competitor's kits. The thing that really bothers me about some AMT kits is the extremely simple chassis. A lot of the ones that I have bought have far too simple chassis and even formed in exhaust.
  25. That is going to be something else when your finished. IMO that is the best body style of Chevy truck. How wild are you planning on going with this one?
