Been a while since I posted anything on here Decided to break away from all my Kustom projects and do this. Haven't done anything tis new or like this in years. Used the Back half from the Amt 67 Chevelle. Have a lot of stuff done and getting it close to being done now.
Been working on this again Since the Bumpers aren't chrome I painted them with AlcladII I have the front one done. I also got the body taped off and painted. I have a few places that need to be fixed, once that is done I will clear coat it.
The hood is open needs AMT 56 Ford kit to Finish I glued the hood shut as I I just wanted to do a curbside. It will be tutone want to do the one in the picture
That is the only problem with their stuff you either have to send it off to be chromed or do alclad or Spaxtic. Going to try something on mine using JNJ powders and gloss black seen it done and it looked like chrome.
Well I finally got back to working on this life has been getting in the way. Made some pulley's for the front of the engine. Also made some for an alternator and made a power Steering pump.
Okay now that I can post again. This is how I made the knobs. I laminated clear red and white plastic with thick super glue. Let it dry over night. I then cut a strip from that I then filed one end to a rough shape of what I wanted. then I sanded it with 400 and 800 grit sand paper to the final shape. Then I cut it off the end and drilled a hole it it to accept the wire. Then I dipped it in clear lacquer paint. Steve Boutte shows how he does this on his webste and he just did an article in the other mag talking about it as well There you go Eric Posted it earlier
