  1. Simply Outstanding work Harry ...
  2. Nice start, engine's looking great ...
  3. Bmf finished on one side
  4. Front grille painted and a black wash added to bring out the detail
  5. Before the dash can be fitted into the body, the bonnet needs to be put in place and held in place with masking tape, so before all that happens, I wanted to get the trim on top of the front wings, doors and quarter panels, like the other Trabant i built, they will be covered in aluminium BMF then the rubber trim will be picked out using a black art marker
  6. Pop some BMf into the recess where the lamp fixes into then, airbrush the lenses in clear red/orange and fix in place with clear epoxy,

    Bmc Cooper

Very nice, and in a classic OEW and black colour scheme, what's not to like .....
  8. Dashboard finished
  9. I got the Mehari's for just over 18 Euro's, sadly i have no local model shops, and the one's that are in the area don't stock Heller models
  10. What's their shipping charges like ?? Heller took their money out of my bank this morning, £56.74 for three models + shipping, = £18.91 a kit, it makes me wonder why Ebbros DS19 is £62.00 over here, I cancelled my pre order when i found out the price
  11. Thanks for taking the time to post them, they will come in very useful, any idea on the standard body colours that were available ?
  12. After I have finished the Trabant I'm building at the moment, I'm going to do something a little different, different for me anyway, and as always I like to do as much details as i possible can, can someone point me in the right direction to get some detailed photo's of the real things, good photo's of the engine, running gear and interior.
  13. Been working on the interior over the weekend, the side panels were masked off so the door handles and window winders to be airbrushed in flat black, once painted the seat belt were fitted after having the seat belt buckle picked out in BMF, once all that was done the sides were fitted to the interior pod, and then work started on the dashboard, the interior pod was dry fitted onto the floorpan, the wheels and tyres were fitted after the black centre caps had been picked out with flat black
  14. Been having a tidy up and dusting all the shelves and work surfaces over the last few days, finally got the workbench de-cluttered so i can now actually work on it .... Photo Booth on the bottom shelf New 23" LED TV added
  15. Yes they have, 21.67 Euro http://www.heller.fr/en/maquettes/new-products/558-citroën-van-hy-3279510807684.html
  16. Now if you had said that the early pre 1970's 2CV's had no shock absorbers, I wouldn't have had a problem with your quote !!
  17. Just had my Paypal invoice come through, 75.91 Euro for 2 Mehari's and another Renault 4, with shipping to the U.K, works out to just over £18.00 a kit, not bad since there around £26.00 a kit over here, and not everyone stocks Heller over here
  18. Welcome aboard, I used to spend a lot of time during the 1990's in Louth, nice part of the country .....
  19. Luckily i have an account with Heller and will be buying mine direct from them, with the way to Euro to the £ is at the moment, there coming in at just under £16.00 ($24.00)
  20. Since around 1970 all 2CV's and Dyane's had front & rear shock absorbers, the rear one being longer than the fronts .....
  21. Some 2Cv's were built at the Slough factory, (now owned by Mars chocolate,) in 1954, but they were not a great success, most 2CV's that were imported either personally or by specialist business would have been left hand drive, it wasn't until the mid 70's that the 2CV was officially imported into the U.K
  22. Not strange at all, as Grove Garage are and have been a Citroen specialist for many years http://www.grovegarageweybridge.co.uk/
  23. It's a shame some members have to spoil it for the rest of us .....
  24. Superb build, and such realistic weathering ......
