MarcelT4 replied to geetee66's topic in WIP: Model Cars
I would have made the air intakes through the side windows. That does not bother the harmonic form of the minis so much.- 61 replies

Unfortunately, I have to pause with the little mini now. I do not really like the rims anymore. The original Minilite fit really better on it. But I have to find the first now. But now for the BMW Mini, after I have drilled all the holes, I have sanded everything again. And now everything is primed in white. What do you all mean?

Back to the BMW Mini. The holes are now drilled, but unfortunately I get nowhere the rivets with 0.6 head.

Hello, Today I did very little with the BMW Mini. All holes were made by eye. For the other side, a template is made of it.

Thank you, did I mention that the paint is Gravity Colors? The clearcoat is 2K clearcoat from Zero Paints.

Now the implantation of the Honda engine is completed. The wheel suspensions are also installed. The exhaust was extended by Golf 2 parts.

Thanks, I'm glad that the MK1 like. For the BMW Mini, I need help, I need a scan of Liberty Walk Decals. The sunbeams should be included for the sides.

I once worked on the MK1. I discarded the hood hinges and used the kit parts. Then I painted, first the base coat. And top coat.

Hello, here a new model from me. I have the widening of the fenders again created and printed. The wheels are 3D printed too. Furthermore, I have installed etched parts and changed the body on the model of Jon Sibal. It was painted in Candy-Yellow by Zero Paints and 2K clearcoat. Carbon decals are from Scaleproduction.

Hello, I have designed new struts for the MK1. And made a new bonnet for the BMW Mini. The rear Spoiler printed.

I also have something in mind with the mk1. He gets a Honda engine and much more .... In order to accommodate the engine well then the hood must be changed. Of course, the engine mount must also be changed.... ....and with the engine.

These free / cheap 3D models are usually not suitable for such things. These usually do not correspond to the original dimensions and then the rework is very large.

I use 3D Studio Max from Autodesk. This is the free student version. I create the complete car on my PC and create the required parts individually. These will be printed out.
