Dupli-Color Hi-Build Primer
ewetwo replied to ewetwo's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Thank you for explaining it to me guys. I use the Dupli-Color primer in the short can. I didn’t have good luck with the taller, cheaper can of Duplicolor-Color primer. It seems every time I used that under lacquer it wasn’t strong enough to keep the lacquer reaching through to the plastic. Now I’m finding the same thing happening with the more expensive Dupli-Color primer I normally use. The paint looks great but after a few hours it looks rough and looses it shine. -

Michaels getting rid of models?
ewetwo replied to gbdolfans's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The Micheals near me closed a few years ago due to theft. A friend works in another store as a manager in the same mall and is quitting after 15 years because of theft and harassment by the thieves. That whole mall will be closed in a few years. Our local Price Chopper food store had to put special boxes on all their shopping carts that registers the cart went through the checkout before leaving. If not it sets off an alarm and camera because of theft. And you wonder why stores are locking everything up. -

They are all nice. I like number 4 the best. -
Nice. I have one I should build some day.

Really nice and the paint is awesome.

Both look great. Looks better than a first time builder would do.

Looks good to me. Nice looking car.

I'm ordering some tomorrow. Unless my local shop has them and he might as he deals mostly with trains.

They are out of my league LOL. Most likely let them go.

What do you use with these to make parts stick to them. I've never seen them until recently here on the forum.

Seems like the builder has done some work on them. 2 chassis he has set to go. I haven't a clue on building resins. I'll just sell them.

Thank you Jim.

Here are photos of the resins with the donor kits they were in. Though some are missing tires and wheels.

Thank you Carl.
