  1. Thanks Will look for the Molotow version
  2. This popped up on Face Book anyone use these or know anything about them?
  3. Take some photos when you get it apart, good luck.
  4. IS the Power Wagon a First Gear, Ertl or large Matchbox model ?
  5. This shows the stem and shows the way to make the cut.
  6. On the rear of the rim is a short plastic stem that the axle fits into. Make a cut length wise, maybe one on 2 sides then gently spread the plastic and remove wheel from axle.
  7. The ends of the axles are ribbed so children can not pull wheel off. Carefully slit the stem on the back of the wheel and work the tire off the axle. When you put truck together you can use a small amount of a glue to hold stem on axle, you might want to clamp the split section to hold the glue in place.
  8. The kit is over 30 years old and I am aware of the problems with ZAMAK. Since ERTL produced the kit I believe they used the same formula as they used in their farm tractors. I have a Ertl tractor that is 65 years old and no sign of problems. The kit's frame rails , front and rear axles are metal the rest plastic. I am starting with Super Glue Gel. So far the rear spring assembly is sticking to the frame. The frame needed a lot of work to remove bits of flash and location pins. Thanks to all for your input I will advise as I progress how the metal/plastic parts stay together.
  9. I have an Ertl 1/25 Volvo N 10 truck tractor kit. The frame and running gear are all metal. Should I use Super Glue or JB Weld to assemble the frame ?

  17. I did one earlier this spring. I agree about a lot of fragile parts. Fun build but frustrating at times.
  18. I ordered some kits several weeks ago with the 40% off, 5 kits total shipping was less than $16 and arrived quickly. Went to local Hobby Lobby and found Ford snow plow and Autocar dump on the shelves that were not on web page and I had never seen either one of on the shelf. I cruised this weeks internet add and noticed Cat dozer and Landrover kit that were not in previous sale flyer and not in store.
  19. I built this as I would envision a 1980 Las Vegas Metro Search and Rescue truck would look like. The kit is Revell 1/25 scale Jeep Honcho with a topper I bought on EBAY.
  20. Thanks I have sent email to both to see if they have sets to fit the tires I have. Will advise
  21. I am happy with the tires I am looking for rims, possibly after market resin or 3D printed
  22. I am building the kit as a rescue vehicle and would like more industrial looking rim to use with the kit supplied tires. The tires are wide and I think I should use 6 bolt pattern rims Any ideas on rims that would work. As a side note Revell did not have any chrome parts, bumpers, grill and mirrors all white.
  23. I went to my local Hobby Lobby in Henderson, Nevada. The store was very crowded and I happen to find the store manager to open paint display. When I went to check out all the registers were maned and the lines went back to the nest to last isle before rear wall. Took 30 minutes to check out. No holes in kit section.
