  1. Incredible work! Just wondering - are you going to give it that “brushed” look, or keep it shiny?
  2. Thanks for the replies, guys! I may look into buiding a display case.
  3. I have some old 1:25 scale Top Fuel dragsters that I plan on restoring. When I do restore them, I’d like to keep em dust-free. Any advice on storing them?
  4. I plan to paint it Testors De Ja Blue. That’s good to know about the chassis and roll cage!
  5. Didn’t do much on the engine today. Got the chassis and some interior pieces painted.
  6. Here is a quick “mock up” of what the engine will look like with the body.
  7. Made a lot of progress on the engine today - I should have it completed tomorrow.
  8. Great to hear, Ron. It’s kinda box stock but - I put the street rod air filters and velocity stacks on the engine, I’ll leave the hood scoop off but still cut a hole in the hood, and I found some Outlaw II’s in the parts bin that I’ll put on it.
  9. Thank you brent. It is a very detailed yet pleasant build.
  10. The engine is coming along good. I also got the headers assembled and ready for paint tomorrow.
  11. Nicely done. Looks good!
  12. Transmission is painted. Tomorrow I’ll work on the engine assembly.
  13. I got the engine painted today. Now I’ll give it a couple days to cure, then onto detailing.
  14. Thank you for saying that Snake. I wasn’t sure if it would work or not, now I know. The only Cobra 427 kit I have is the Monogram Shelby 427 Cobra Street, and here is the comparison of it. Apologies for the missing parts on the Cobra - it is in the process of getting restored.
  15. Got these at Hobby Lobby today - Paint for an interior, a new flat black touch-up paint, and a fine tip Sharpie to experiment with on panel lines And on my way out, this caught my eye. I also found this very nice diecast 1:24 scale Shelby Cobra at Rite-Aid.
  16. Got the engine partially assembled and ready for paint.
  17. Awesome to hear Kevin! There is a lot of knowledgeable builders on these forums, so feel free to ask a question! Can hardly wait to see those Ferraris!
  18. Thank you Kevin! I agree, the tubbed chassis is awesome!
  19. Thanks Guido! I’ll keep you updated on the build!
  20. I thank both of you for the replies! I will put your knowledge to good use.
  21. I decided to try something a little different and build a race car. This is an AMT ‘67 Chevelle Pro Street. Here is what I’m starting with.
  22. I know precious little about resin parts - what paints are ok to use?
  23. Thank you very much Rob!
  24. Awesome build Matt!
