  1. I was thinking of using these Woodland Scenic Dry Transfer Model Graphics for the Fantasy Flyer. Anyone have any tips or tricks on using them?
  2. Rainy night here in Chambersburg - time to get to work on the Fantasy Flyer. I’ve been brainstorming and invisioning what I want it to look like. I’ll build it as the Pro Stocker version from the kit, with some added features and details, such as a removable front clip. The paint will be Testors 1845 Mystic Emerald with a black interior. Now onto the progress update. The wheels are assembled, slicks sanded, and wheel backs painted. Next is the engine assembly.
  3. Excellent!! I can’t wait to see it!
  4. I was originally going to build it completely without the front clip, but upon thinking about it I might make a lift-off front clip. If I build it with a removable hood assembly, it might not be so imaginary...
  5. You got that right!
  6. Thank you Alan. Good question - I haven’t gotten that far yet
  7. afx is correct - I was asking about the Wedge.
  8. Thank you all for the information. I was going to use it for a '56 Panel Truck, so I'll probably use the Starliner engine.
  9. Welcome to the forum Greg!
  10. I kinda let my imagination take the wheel with this one. While it may not be realistic, or practical, I still want to see what it looks like. The Fantasy Flyer is a bracket racer straight from my imagination. It is based on the AMT Chevy Nova SS Pro Stocker. We’ll start with this - these are the three major pieces that are going to get modified. I plan to cut the wheel wells off, as well as leave the hood, front quarters, and grill off. It will have the 454 “Rat” engine with Zoomie headers.
  11. What kit or kits have a decently proportioned Ford 427?
  12. Alright, back on the Chevelle build. Interior assembly is complete and engine is installed. I took the carbs and velocity stacks off for assembly, as they are kind of fragile. This build is coming along slowly, but surely.
  13. Here is the painted body and hood. The color is Testors De Ja Blue.
  14. Made some more progress on this build. I didn’t get the interior assembly done when I wanted to, because I forgot to paint the firewall. I’ll have a picture of the painted body posted tonight.
  15. Saw this beautiful restored GMC at Sheetz.
  16. The interior is getting there, got the seats, rear interior panel, and roll cage in. I plan to finish the interior tomorrow.
  17. Engine is wired and ready to go. Now on to the interior.
  18. I did a lot of painting today. Went with a white roll cage to accent the body color, which will be Testors De Ja Blue.
  19. Got back to work on the Chevelle. As I said in an earlier post, I found some Outlaw II’s in my parts bin that I’ll put on it. Here is what the tires look like with the Outlaw II’s
  20. Thank you Ron. I did check out Lex’s Modeling - wow, such a selection! My original plan was to put a Cowl hood on the Chevelle, but for this build I decided to go with air filters sticking out of the hood.
  21. Beautiful! May I ask where you got the Cowl hood from?
  22. Perfect timing - I'm heading there right now. Thank you.
