  1. Depending on your desired outcome for the model, it may take a bit of extra sanding. Once cleaned up it goes together pretty nice.
  2. The engine and chassis have a fresh coat of primer. Now the fender assembly, chassis, and engine are ready for paint.
  3. Made a good bit of progress today. The body, hood, and trunk are ready for paint. I’ll put another coat of primer on the engine before it gets painted.
  4. It appeared that the spots where the body pieces were connected to the sprues were not sanded down, and the roof had some flashing preventing it from sitting flush on the body. After a bit of time with some spare sandpaper, here is how it all turned out. Before: After:
  5. Got the previous paint removed and the engine disassembled. The body and interior were not primed, just painted over plastic. I didn’t spend a whole lot of time sanding down the glue spots, as most of them will not be seen once the engine is assembled.
  6. Thank you, Thomas and Terry!
  7. Thank you, Eddy!
  8. This one is from my Dad’s old collection. It was half complete when I found it. I had started to do some detailing on the parts that were assembled, but wasn’t quite satisfied with how it looked. The plan is to refresh/restore this Indy Pace Car.
  9. This one is a rescue. I started it back when I didn’t really know what I was doing. Here’s what I’m starting with: The paint on the interior is rather splotchy There’s a good bit of blushing on the exterior paint The engine assembly isn’t too bad. Thread was used for the spark plug wires First step: disassemble everything and strip the paint.
  10. Looks good. Don’t see too many ramp style haulers anymore. I’ll be watching this build.
  11. Nice, clean build. Looks great.
  12. Looks great, Darryl. I’ll be following this build.
  13. Cool looking 5 Window! The chop top looks great!
  14. Very nice build! Looks great!
  15. That was going to be my next question, but I’ll keep the chassis it came with. 16 bucks is a really good price for the ‘63 Novas!
  16. Thank you for the reply, Snake. Born-with chassis it is! I never even thought of the scale and size differences.
  17. I’d like to build a... rather unique... ‘15 Mustang. However, the only one that I like the looks of is a diecast. Only the body and hood would be diecast. The rest would be styrene. Thoughts on doing so?
  18. I second that. All it’ll do is get sticky if the paint isn’t scuffed.
  19. Alright, I finally decided on what I’m going to build for this CBP. I’ll be building a Pro Touring 1969 Mach 1. The build will be based on the Revell ‘69 Mach 1, with parts from the 2010 Shelby GT500.
  20. Looks fine to me! Great job on the finish!
  21. Beautiful build! Nice job on the foil work!
  22. Cool T-Bird! Metallic blue looks very nice on this car!
  23. Nicely done! The unpolished silver looks good!
  24. 32 degrees Fahrenheit here in South Central PA. It snowed all day yesterday and rained all day today. The radar shows that the rain should turn to ice soon.
