  1. I’m going to say illustration.
  2. Your son has good taste in cars LOL. I started with an interest in Legos, which evolved into diecasts, which then became an interest in models. So, there may be a hope for the model building hobby to carry on
  3. Nice job on the body work. I ran into the same fitment issues with the ‘67 GT-350 that I’m currently working on.
  4. Thank you! Some of those builds have been stalled from about 25 years ago. I thought it would be nice to finally finish them.
  5. Thank you for the tip, Rex. I’ll be sure to do that.
  6. Started disassembly on the interior. All I have yet to disassemble is the column and steering wheel.
  7. I’m glad the issue is being looked at, because I had the exact same thing happen a few hours ago. I resized the photos (for example, a 2.5MB picture downsized to about 300KB) and that seemed to work.
  8. Thank all of you for the replies. Excellent information from all of you. Some rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab took the paint right off.
  9. Is there a way to get paint off of tires without ruining them? Here is an example from the '64 Indy Pace Car that I'm rescuing.
  10. Yep, sure do. I was rescuing a half-built Mustang Mach III. It wasn’t in the best condition, but all the parts were there. the build was going good... until I went to glue the windshield in. It needed trimmed down a bit to fit in the frame. I guess I held it a little too tight while trimming, because next thing I know the windshield split clean in half. the next hurdle was when I knocked the hood (which had the hinges applied and drying) onto the floor. I still have yet to find the hinges... and the last thing that happened before I put it away for a while was the rear broke while I was test fitting the chassis. I still have it sitting on “the shelf”. I’ll give it another go one day.
  11. Time for me to get back to this build. After a few hours in the Purple Pond, the paint came right off the body and radiator. It appears that the radiator is assembled sideways, which is a simple fix. The inner rims are soaking in IPA, and I'm slowly but surely getting the interior disassembled.
  12. Looks good! Nice job on the interior!
  13. Yes, I do. I am in the process of rescuing an AMT ‘67 Shelby GT-350 and a Monogram ‘64 Mustang Indy Pace Car.
  14. Thank all of you very much for the input and information. I greatly appreciate it.
  15. Thank you, Eddy!
  16. Thank you very much, David. I appreciate the compliment. Good eye - I took my time with the fine details.
  17. Which one would look more realistic for chrome trim on a model? Also, has anyone used the Black BMF for window trim on newer vehicles?
  18. Thank you very much for the interesting information - I did not know that about this kit.
  19. Thank you, Steve!
  20. Got the engine bay looking a little better. Just need to clean up the corners and then It'll be ready for primer.
  21. Thank all of you very much!
  22. Thank you for the tip, Scott. I’ll remember that. Out your way sounds like an entirely different world from over here in South Central PA. Must be nice for painting outside... LOL
  23. That color looks great! Can hardly wait to see it finished
