WARM WEATHER. 60 degrees sure felt nice after the bitter cold last week.
-
Well, “Hotrod” is what my friends have called me since I started drag racing (about 2 years ago), And 97 is the year of my race truck. A 1997 Ford F-150. It’s pretty much stock now, but someday I plan to put some performance on it.

To the participants of this CBP, any ideas as to what you’re going to build? If you would like to keep it secret until the build starts, that is completely fine. If you have would like to build more than one vehicle, that also fine. This CBP is not limited to just one build. -

Yep, sure would! I’d allow anything from restorations to OOB’s, factory stock to Phantoms - as long as it has a nod to the Mach 1, it’s allowed! -

Sounds good! The time frame would be June 21 (first day of Summer) to September 23 (last day of Summer). -
Would anyone be up for a 50 Years of Mach 1 CBP? The build window would be all Summer, and the only build requirement is that it’s a Ford Mustang Mach 1.

Got some hand-painting done and finished detailing the chassis. The Folger’s car will have gold bolts and accents, the 7-Eleven car will have black bolts and accents.

Got these today. An AMT ‘60 Chevy Fleetside and some brass detailing paint. I also finally got a cutting mat for the workbench.

Alright, time to get back to the Shelby. I wasn’t satisfied with the way the paint job turned out, so I soaked it in Super Clean for a bit to get the heavy stuff off. I’ll put another thin coat of primer on before I paint it (again).

Revell Mustang LX Question
Hotrod 97 replied to oldcarfan's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
It sure does! They took the police car parts out of the 2 n 1, kept the stock parts, and added the drag car parts. The instructions I got with mine are to build the drag car only. -
You’re welcome, Johnny! Thank you for the compliment! I was just gonna say the same thing!

Thanks tubbs! You are fine. The mold lines are actually why I set this build aside for a bit - I kinda forgot to sand them down before painting.

The 7/Eleven doesn’t seem to have any warping, but the Folger’s is slightly warped.
