  1. That is a problem, however a problem not overcome by a big enough hammer. No matter how big of a bench I have I still only end up with a 12X12 inch area to work in. And I have a lot of bench space - over 22sq feet.
  2. I actually did that once
  3. same thing as last year....
  4. Can we say booger on the air?
  5. Nope, it's a human condition to be at odds with someone at some time.
  6. Yes, I have seen a coulpe of those. I always have an internal struggle with 1/20th though. I know it stupid but since 95% of my collecting is 1/24 - 1/25 I have hard time branching out into the 1/20th stuff. The much bigger stuff is a bit of a different deal in my eyes, which is the other 5%. I'd probably do more F1 cars if they were not 1/20th scale. I know it's just a weird me thing.
  7. maybe some cute little fluffy bunnies to bracket those.
  8. It is, it's (overly policing) been the demise of some really good places. Common sense works well if everyone has some.
  9. can you make a list of what is considered swear words and prohibited name calling? TIA
  10. I just ordered a 21215 HASEGAWA 1/24 LANCIA STRATOS HF STRADALE. What kit is in the RoG box? I am looking at that too. And I am looking at the ultimate kit: a Hawk HF 3000 http://www.hawkcars.co.uk/hf3000/HF%20-%201.pdf although that is one expensive kit car. I could get a really nice 550 replica for less.
  11. Thanks guys. I think I am just going for the Hase kit for now and see what I can do with that and keep me peepers peeled for a Fuji. I looked at the Fuji Dino engine as a very distict possibility.
  12. I could always cast up a Dino enigne (where the real car's motor came from) and fix it up. Interesting, I didn't know they used Fiat X1/9 headlights for the Stratos.
  13. Yeah, there is a bunch of Hasegawa kits too, my LHS even has the Hasegawa kits.
  14. Yes, I thought there was a top notch kit. many hours later... only if you can find one. Another grail search.
  15. Builder's block stems form the builders desire to build something brilliant (usually a small detail that the build is not sure how to solve) but fears that his or her abilities will fall short of that desire. So it is just easier to do nothing than disappoint yourself. It's a lame excuse. Be realistic with yourself and don't oversight your goals. I aways just build something that doesn't matter to me if I screw it up... often they turn out to be my best models. It gives me the fredom and flexibility to try things that I wouldn't otherwise try on a model that is special to me and want to make perfect... those are always the ones that I get stalled on.
  16. I found lots of kits but some say curbside some say nothing about it. What is the get to get?
  17. 1/3 scale. It was sold to Fine Art Models, and there was talk of reproducing the motor. Pierre is currently working on a P4 and I think he was doing 250 GTO drawings for a future build.
  18. put a ZZ572/720R in her
  19. I didn't know marshmellows were neutrual.
  20. Used to be, there used to be a very limited software library and what was available was more expensive. When I looked into 2003-2004 it was about 47% more expensive to own a MAC than a equal PC. Now days you can run win apps on a MAC.
  21. Work files were on a seperate firewire drive. Maybe because they tried to partition them up too much. They kept through more RAM at. then bigger drives. It was never really resolved by time I was outta there. Most people said it was Jaguar wasn't up to snuff and was resolved with the next OS. As far as nobody, I wouldn't go that far. Mac still recommends running an antivirus scanning software, and there are several, some particularly dangerous MAC viruses, and again if you are running Win apps is also a weakness. I have gone to some particularly nasty sites trying to get a virus and with a live updated live scan antivirus maleware and a double firewall with tweeked settings nothing has got through. So you can set up a formidable PC. I would seriously consider a MAC again if someone gave me a good reason to switch, but nobody, even MAC gurus, said it's not really worth it any longer if you are heavily invested in PC hardware and soft, more so with the increasing overlap. Yup, when I started getting into computers it was Windows 3X, which was basically MS DOS with a fancy, if you wanna call it that, interface, many programs were still DOS based. It was very crude by MAC standards and probably really wasn't til XP Pro, (XP Home not so much) windows was catching up fast especially in the grapics arena, since they pretty much buttoned up the business apps.
  22. seems to be no contest.
  23. We had a couple doorslammers running alcohol through a TB!
  24. I remember the Flying Toilets mostly on naturally aspirated alcohol apps Looked like a blue anodized toilet.
  25. And you could adapt it to others. I know a guy who had a 69 Dart with the long cross rams on it with a 440, which might have been from the 383, I don't recall now. I do recall he had to have some custom adapter plates made and he had to cut holes in the inner fenders for the carbs to fit. It was mostly just a showboater.
