Lizards man the Lizards. I doubt the Mazda/Lola coupe will be there but I'd like to see that car up close and personal.

Source for small scale decals?
CAL replied to ismaelg's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
HLJ and Strada Sport deals in 1/43 scale stuff -
What ever happened with this?
-
Yup the good ole days of opening a developing can that smelled like something died in it. It was kind of fun, the process made the print all that more sweet, and you could do things that you just can't do with digital.
-
I would never guess that... who'd thunk the made a 70mm GT car?
-
I thought maybe that too, but I don't think it's Lancia. It does look Italian/Ford.

Lucky you, When I was in film school a real camera was a 35mm film SLR And we developed all our own negatives and final prints. I still have my Yasica FX3, but I need to get me a good DSLR.

Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona 'Early Version'
CAL replied to The Creative Explorer's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Looks good, I final picked up one myself. I am still trying to figure out the tool kit Got a coupe and a GTO coming from HLJ, too. Getting all bailed up on Ferraris. I agree on the Borrani's, although I been spoiled with the Revell/Protar wheels (the best plastic wire wheels I ever seen) - the Fujimi ones are just not as nice, so I will probably have to get some AM ones. That sucks, I feel for you, as I know what you are going through, I just got back to work after 11 months of unemployment and took a big pay cut and at a job with no real furture. The good news is hopefully I will be going to work for a Ferrari broker/resto around the end of the year if the economy hasn't killed his business, then life will be golden again. I have met with him several times, but isn't ready to pull the trigger yet. -
That's cool, I haven't seen one of those in a while.
-
I agree, great job on it. Looks awesome. One of the best Porsche ever built. Almost everyone who had the chance to drive one and an Enzo all pretty much say the same thing. The Enzo is a brut of power and is faster, but the Carrera GT is just phenomenal. Black sure makes it looks smaller.
-
It's finally on it wheels without help Took a bunch of fiddling around to get it but here it is. Most of the major componets are in as well. The next major hurdle will be getting the interior done.
-
Who does that besides SAAB? Not only backwards, but on TOP of the transmission. Goofy Sweds.

Yeah, Road Atlanta is a tricky track. I haven't been there since the flatten out the "jump" under the bridge, but I agree, Peugeot in general just need more experience to bump off Audi. What a amzing crash that was. The Lizards got hit with something yearlier this year that really put them down on performance from the Ferraris, or maybe Ferrari got an add - I don't remeber now if it was weight, ridehight, somthing or the new 430 is just that much better than the old Porsche RS. The big difference is the rule change on CF chassis, which the Ferrari 430 GT is, Porsche isn't because it wasn't a legal chassis until recently. So the new 911 will be CF, and wider. I know, Imagine that! Corvette wins GT1! Just wait to see how they get spanked in GT2. They will have a pretty steep learning curve - especailly with a conventional chassis - they will have to have a new car befor too long, and with BMW tossed in the mix. It will be real hard on Corvette Racing if the plan on switching back and forth from GT1 to GT2 like they are planing next year.

I am glad to see Peugeot giving Audi some competition, but it wasn't enough to take the win. However, they did a good job spliting the Audis. McNish did a phenomenal job, as he wrecked the car in warm up and started the race two laps down to win over all for Audi 11 of 11 wins for audi at Petit LeMan. I don't understand why in the world Audi Motorsport is axing him. 1. Audi 2. Peugeot 3. Audi LMP2 Bad day for Acura good day for Porsche. 3 of the 4 Acura cars crash out. One involved in a spectacular moment when one of the Flying Lizards in a head on collision with a prototype that spun on restart. It was a scary moment but all drivers are okay. 1. Porsche RS Spyder Penske 2. Porsche RS Spyder Penske 3. Porsche RS Spyder Penske 4. Porsche RS Spyder Dyson 5. Acura 6. Porsche RS Spyder Dyson Bernhard/Dumas clinch the drivers championship with one race to go. The manufacture title is still up for grabs. GT1 A Corvette wins! GT2 After a peice of a drink bottle fell down and wedged it's self behind the throttle peddle the Risi Ferrari makes a come back from two laps down to take the win. They had a very fast car today, that wasn't much competition from the Porsches. 1. Ferrari Risi 2. Prosche Flying Lizards 3. Ferrari Tafel However, the second from the Lizards clinch the driver championship for Bermeister/Henzler/Lieb. Team Tafel who was in contention for the championship couldn't seem to keep the car on track today. Good racing another close finish. Should be a great season next year. Some other notes. GT1 will probably be dropped altogether with Corvette's likely going to GT2 full time. They (Corvettes) are only planing 3 GT2 races. BMW is coming online with a GT2 program as well. Acura made the offical announcement they are going to LMP1 next year. Penske rumored they are not returning next year - I think for a lack of competition if Acura is going to focus on P1, if that happens there may be a Lola/Porsche coupe in LMP1. To bad for the Mazda coupe, which was demolished on warm up and was not able to compete. I would have liked to seen that car run.

Looks like it will be a good scrap in GT2 Ferrari Porsche Ferrari Porsche Peugeot didn't dominate the way the wanted but did get pole and set a new record pace, just a head of the two Audi LMP2 P1 Penske Porsche P2 Penske Porsche P3 Penske Porsche I was actually expecting more from Acura. Not much to say about GT1 one of the Corvettes got pole and the other didn't.

Radio Le Mans is covering Qualifying, LMP 1 & 2 starting now. Radio LeMans Risi on the provisional pole.

Yup, They already been fiesty in practice. #9-P2 Acura ARX-01B: The left front suspension is broken and the left front wheel was in 2 pieces. All the left side bodywork including the rear wing is broken. The left rear looked semi-straight and right side was only covered in Georgia clay. The tub was damaged and will be replaced. Permission has been requested to install the new tub, and the team said the car will not be ready for the afternoon session and possibly not ready for the night practice. #12-P1 Lola B06-10 AER: At the end of the session, the car spun at turn 10a and was immediately hit from the side by Seth Neiman (#44-GT2 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR). As a result the tub was cracked on the #12, causing fluid to leak. The car can not compete with its current damage and the team is having Elan Motorsports evaluate whether the car can be repaired. Until then the fate of the car is uncertain. The #44 Porsche has been repaired and will compete in the afternoon practice session. At 03:32 pm, Seth Neiman (#44-GT2 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR) spun and stopped against the tire wall at the bottom of the esses. There is slight damage to both ends of the car, which continued. The driver reports the car was hit from behind. Stefan Johansson (#48-P1 Zytek 07S) is being given a 1-minute penalty for unnecessary contact – apparently it was he who hit the #44. Top of the leader board after this afternoons practice session. 1: (1) #07-P1 (Peugeot 908) Stephane Sarrazin 1:06.952 2: (2) #1-P1 (Audi AG R10/TDI) Emanuele Pirro 1:07.080 3: (3) #2-P1 (Audi AG R10/TDI) Lucas Luhr 1:07.773 1: (4) #7-P2 (Porsche RS Spyder) Timo Bernhard 1:07.800 2: (5) #26-P2 (Acura ARX-01B) Franck Montagny 1:07.876 3: (6) #5-P2 (Porsche RS Spyder) Helio Castroneves 1:08.104 1: (18) #3-GT1 (Corvette C6.R) Johnny O`Connell 1:16.668 2: (19) #4-GT1 (Corvette C6.R) Olivier Beretta 1:16.825 1: (20) #62-GT2 (Ferrari F430 GT) Jaime Melo 1:19.252 2: (21) #28-GT2 (Chevrolet Riley Corvette C6) Marc Goossens 1:20.141 3: (22) #45-GT2 (Porsche 911 GT3 RSR) Joerg Bergmeister 1:20.157

I don't know, what are they running now? What I read is in addition they were dropping two cylinders from the current configuration as well.
