  1. I know what you mean. I am not that far behind ya.
  2. Yeah really. Maybe an off the shelf unit isn't, but the custom built G5 equvilent of the PC I built was almost three times the cost. You must be an Old Guy. It's just like the VHS - Beta wars. Beta was better, smaller, had clear picture, but VHS won the marketing war. Now look almost no one even has a VHS player anymore. Some day there will be something completely different than PC or Mac that will blow both their doors off.
  3. Yeah, I saw the dip and it looked German, but the rest of it look Japanese.
  4. Maybe I just got lucky, I have been on some really bad PCs, or maybe because I built my own with carfully picked componets my PC runs like a Mac and I run a lot of graphics and NLE programs. I don't get errors, messages, conflicts, blue screens, shutdowns, lock ups, or any of the usual PC problems, and It is going to be 5 years old soon. (knock on wood). I came real close to moving to a Mac in 2003. I just didn't see three times more value in a Mac just three times more cost. I have no idea what the problems with the G4s I was using, it wasn't just mine but all 20 or so had some kind of regular problems - particluarly with locking up and crashing. The IT guys blamed it on the network and un-networked a bunch of workstation, but they still had issues. There just isn't isn't a big difference between them any more other than cost.
  5. Could be but looks a lot like a Toyota M Engine.
  6. yeah whatever it is .... some kind of Toyota yunk. What picture? Go Ferrari.
  7. Hummm. Modified Supera?
  8. PC=IBM=Mac's rival. It's even closer now with Mac using IBM OS architecture, and the hardware is virtually the same.
  9. That is simply not true. I used a Mac G4 with Jaguar at work and a PC with XP Pro at home and run many of the same or similar proggies. The Mac had way more issues with the OS, stalls, shutdowns, and conflicts than the PC. Furthermore, I almost bought a Mac for home, but it was cost prohibitive. The machine I built cost about $2400.00 and has been the best computer I have had. The Mac equivalent was closer to the tune of $6200.00 w/ like drives, hardware, and moniters. Plus being a PC guy for so long it would have been another several thousand dollars in software to get back to were I was with my PC. On top of that the G5 in bench test after bench test was never going to be as fast as my PC, and my horrible experience with Jaguar pretty much killed any chance of me switch to a Mac. When it was working, to be honest, the Mac didn't feel a whole lot different than my PC with XP. I doubt I will ever switch now they, Apple, missed their oppertunity to convert me.
  10. I have a 64Bit machine, but I will just stick with XP Pro for now, thank you.
  11. No Lizards in F1. Maybe someday again... they do have 3 F1 WDC titles and 51 F1 victories, though. So it's FORZA Ferrari in F1 Go Lizards in road racing.
  12. Mine rarely make out of the bottom of the box.
  13. Instructions, pfffet, instructions are for girls and when all else fails.
  14. I heard that too, from another site. It sounded more like wishful thinking, more than an actual rumor.
  15. I used to be like that to the result of many a stalled projects. If it is something reasonably correctable without rebuild the whole thing I will correct it, but I fould too offten once you fix on thing the thing next to it is out of place, so I would fix that, before you know it the whole kit was being corrected. I fould that if you build it for what it is has been much more rewarding than driving yourself insane trying to fix everything because frankly you just cannot fix everything. If you want to do that go up a few scale sizes and start scratch building model cars out of brass.
  16. Doll House Tiles. IIRC 1" scale.
  17. also wondering what took so long. No sour grapes here and you are in good company. No less than 5 drivers have now publicly condemend Hamilton's driving of late. In fact, Glock said, "he the next time he next to Hamilton he would behave the same way, he promised." "He drives as though there isn't any one else on the track but himself." Webber said, "I don't know that he (Hamilton) was thinking I was being careful, I was covering my inside as I didn't want to stay in the wet. I would not have made the corner. Then he just clipped my front wing and kept on going." Alonso said, there was definitely some unnecessary driving by Hamilton…, “but that’s his way of racing I guess.†Alonso also earlier said he fully deserved the penalty at Spa. IIRC some other drivers out side Scuderia Ferrari felt the same. I wonder if any of those who said it was a bit harsh has a different opinion now? The F1 community seems split, but slightly un-in-favor of Hamiltons behavior, and clearly McLaren has no control over him. I fear he is going to have a big crash and hurt somebody. If it keeps up FIA will have to step in a consider pulling his super-comp license because I don't think just talking to and threatening action will do it. What 3-4 penalties now hasn't done anything but seem to make him a worse risk on the track. And I don't think he is beyond the point of getting to desperation and pulling something really stupid. And I am not sure what happened but something was going on with HK that he wasn't saying. Clearly not a happy camper at Monza. On another note, Ferrari all but has said Massa is their new No.1, and Kimi said he would help Massa if he can. Massa was my under-dog pick at the start of the year. I hope he does it. GO MASSA! "Forza Ferrari!!!"
  18. Some say it was Prost who had a broken car and ran into Senna to secure the WDC.
  19. I know, they did it so it would be on at a reasonable time in Europe. Yeah, I can't wait. Singapore should be spectacular at night. Oh yeah, he is much more of a Senna than a Michael Schumacher. I have watched that video of Senna/Prost two dozen times. It's mind boggling. MS and Hill wasn't anything close. I don't know if it will be in Singapore or even this season, but eventually he will get the big scare -- if it doesn't kill him. It's just going to happen if he keeps his driving style and attitude up, not that I am looking for anyone to get hurt. But sometimes you just see it coming, and he clearly takes way more risk than anyone else currently in F1, which doesn't necessarily make him World Champ material.
  20. That was a great race for the Little team. Yeah, Hamilton is good for over-driving the car and that is what get's him into trouble every single time. There is little question, I am sure, that Massa is Ferrari's new No. 1. He would have to DNF twice and Kimi would have to win twice just to even it up. I don't see that happening. I sure hope Massa wins the WDC. He has really matured as a driver over this season in partcular. It would be a real shame to crown that disgracefull silver bullet driver anything. If he keeps it up he will get a Senna rep (he won races but he was not like at all by anyone), not a Shummi rep, which is what he was looking for. BTW, the Hamilton hearing is Sept 22 just before Singapore. I think they are wasting their time and efforts. They have come up with not less than 3 excusses for what he did, none of them very good, which means they have nothing, really, and he will have to appear in court and fly directly to Singapore for practice. Not the way to start a race weekend on a new track I suspect.
  21. Yeah, Singapore will be something else, First ever night race for F1. I would have like to seen that Massa/Hamilton margin bigger, but all things considering Massa did a good job. Best finish at Monza in F1, in the rain, and stayed a head of Hamilton. A pretty good job all in all, considering it could have been a lot worse. Fantastic job by Scuderia Toro Rosso. Heikki isn't that old, clearly not happy today. Every race proves Hamilton to be a bigger A-hole. Not withstanding the comment he made about Kimi, "he doesn't have the balls for F1," and the pass he made on Webber, I quess Webber must like him. Some else said it best..., "he's just a dirty little racer with a dirty little mouth - and careless with both to boot. I fear now that if someone doesn't cool his heals he will take himself or someone else out in a big way. Denise isn't going to stop him, he is nearly as bad - only in management. I would be seriously afraid to race next to Hamilton. He has already rearended three drivers and run a number of other off the road.
  22. Just a week ago I said Hamilton was good for at least on more major mistake that could cost him dearly, this could be the one. Q2 Hamilton tried to out smart himself with a set of inters in a torrential down pour at Monza that coasted him a trip to Q3 and the run for pole. The same fate Kimi found himself in, qualifying 14th just ahead of Hamilton in P15. So not only does Hamilton start way back where history has proven that he hasn’t been able to fight his way back to the front he will have to get around the Kimster. Meanwhile Massa who hasn’t been the best in the rain qualified P6. Who is on Pole? Vettel, the youngest driver to take pole position ever in a surprising Q3 effort. In fact, both junior Scuderia Ferraris will start Monza better than the veteran factory team drivers. STR is coming on strong, for sure. It should prove to be an interesting race tomorrow as they are predicting more of the same wet weather for the race. So results are a lottery. This could be the one where Massa pulls ahead of current Championship leader Hamilton by a significant margin with 4 races to go.
  23. It will be interesting to see what happens with all this. They, ALMS, said they were trying to get more GT1 cars and seem to have a growing list of potential new comers. I am not sure I like the Idea of Corvette in the GT2 with Porsche and Ferrari. I have the feeling that it will be a while for ALMS to figure out how to make a 5.5L V8 Corvette fairly competetive with a 4.0 Flat 6 Porsche. Look at the Pontiacs it seemed too little too late to make it a good championship in GT2. I hope they are not thinking that they have no competetion in GT1 in ALMS and not competitive at the 24 Hrs of Le Mans they drop to GT2 and clean house. I know they have been talking about picking up FIA rules, which are supposed to change next year particularly for the LMP1 and LMP2 cars. They need to do something though because the ALMS is starting to suck a$$. The Rolex series is so much better. If Ferry was around Porsche would probably drop out of AMLS - proably would have already. They jack around with it too much trying to field to many different cars that are light years apart in the same classes - V8 GTO or GXP, Mazda Rotary RX-8, Porsche 911 RSR and Ferrari 430GT Porsche is also getting a new car next year.
  24. I'd be happy if they just went back to GT1 GT2 GT3 GTR
  25. I think you have backwards.... Corvette will have some competetion.
