  1. Yeah, I thought you might like that one.
  2. You're best bet if you know who did it is when they go to court ask for restitution. And add a ride to your insurance for replacement cost. You are still not probably going to do anything to cover built models, though.
  3. This is some good stuff
  4. Pretty much, I know someone who lost their hobby to fire. Insurance payouts 0 on paint glue and supplies 0 on built models $5 a kit on unbuilt models and about 50 cents on the dollar for tools. You need a rider for replacement value for good protection, otherwise insurance considers them toys. And models that have been built insurance says the are used and have no value. Fair? No. My insurance said a video tape updated as need is the best record.
  5. The general rule is 3x the cost of the kit. If you are dealing with insurance and you don't have a rider you will probably get screwed.
  6. Can't tell from the postage stamp sized pix.
  7. a smattering of oldies. Chevy Chevette. Probably the best looking AMC Pacer I have ever seen in my life and what, a Ford Festiva?
  8. Nope, Mad Max interceptor started life as a 73 XB GT Ford Falcon coupe.
  9. FIA and Formula 1 dropped the Canadian GP leaving North America without any GPs. Please sign the petition to bring back Canada, and add your comments about an US GP. Thank you. North American GP Petition Feel free to pass around the link.
  10. Oh yeah, I do that ever day.... um on my way to work... Did you notice he hit the guardrail and the sparks that were flying?
  11. Yeah, me too. However, I collect more Group C and GTPs than I have built.
  12. Hamilton is acting like an idiot again. Massa drove a hard race, probably the hardest points he ever earned. I don't think he did anything wrong or made any mistakes. Unlike Hamilton who made several mistake before the first lap was completed. 1. He got a bad start, 2. Freaked out and over shot turn one. 3. Ran into Kimi. 4. Some how dropped to 7th - setting up the tango with Massa. The penalty for Massa, was proabably undeserved, they were in a scrap, the last thing Hamilton wanted to do, Denise even said before the race, Hamilton knows what he needed to do, be calm and not make any mistakes. Things can change very quickly in racing. I have to take Massa's word for it, and was quoted as saying, I have a good relationship with Lewis Hamilton, I wouldn't do anything purposely to change that, for sure. I just got off in the gravel and couldn't slow the car down any more. Personaly I am glad to see Massa fighting for that position, rather than just giving it up, but really the whole tone of the race was set by Hamiton and H. Kova. who both ran very wide, nearly taking 5 cars out with them, both hitting Kimi and doing damage to his car. The only one coming out on top was R. Kubica. Massa said he passed ahead of Alonso untill he was boxed in at turn 1. It could have been a lot worse. Just another example of how much a menice Hamilton is.
  13. On speed. Odd time for a GP, in any one is intersted.
  14. Yup, they came from Corinthian cows. An an ancient city in Greece, on the Isthmus of Corinth: one of the wealthiest and most powerful of the ancient Greek cities. 15. I agree, the best thing that could happen, and, which should have happened some time ago is to let Chrysler go belly up. It would give market share and strength to GM Ford and Mercedes. I mean seriously, why do when need Chrysler hanging around. They build junk and everything they touch has been a failure. Mitzi, which just need another mulit-million dollar bailout, Eagle - defunct, AMC - defunct, Desoto - defunct, Plymouth defunct, DCAG now just Daimler, Jeep, which is still kicking but not what it used to be, and they already annouced cutting their product line in half, possibly dropping the Chrysler or Dodge name plate.
  16. Some more Fuji Ferraris 365 Daytona Coupe EM 365 Daytona Spyder EM 250 GTO "real sports car"
  17. A bunch of stuff. Stopped partying it up, girls, real cars, racing, had extra money and time and picked it up again in 1990. By 1993 I was in deep.
  18. Lost in Ohio wasn't that a TV reality show, are we going to see Greg on TV?
  19. There is always the 550 RS Spyder route, which IMHO is much more sexy....
  20. Looks like the First IROC. I guess you can't get much more specific than this though Porsche 911 RSR Replica. RSR Wide Body look. The car was replicated after a 911 RSR to compete in the Historic Sportscar Racing Series (www.hsrace.com) on the East coast. Most of the design and construction was completed out of a shop in Merrimack NH, RAE Motorsports who specialize in Vintage cars, Fabrication & Restoration work. The race car has gone through an extensive year long professional ground up build and has been beautifully engineered with no expense spared. The work was preformed a couple of years ago. As you can see from the pictures the level of fabrication is extremely high. The most current race was at Daytona Internal Speedway (home of the Rolex 24 hour at Daytona). The car is currently set up for the high-banks at Daytona, geared for approximately 160mph. This car has never been wrecked. The vehicle is a complete tube chassis and has not retained the original factory floor pan. The body is completely fiberglass with the exception of the roof (which is original steel). Total weight was slightly under 2000 pounds with engine and Transmission installed and ready to race. The engine and Transaxle are currently out of the car. The engine is fresh and ready to be re-assembled. The transaxle is ready to go. My price includes chassis, transaxle and engine. All the body work is new from GT Racing and so is the paint. The vehicle has a complete on board fire extinguishing system, quick disconnect steering wheel, Kirkey racing seat , six-point seat belts, front and rear master cylinders with balance bar, Auto Meter Pro-Comp Ultra-lite gauges, lots of new steel braded line and a moroso accusump for the high banked tracks. The chassis has been designed around a G50 Transmission with external oil cooler and was mated to a carbureted professionally assembled 3.6 liter twin plug racing motor with all the good stuff (over $20,000 was spent on engine and transmission alone). Well over $70,000 dollars was spent preparing this car and it proved to be Very Quick. 21. 42, built as a kid in the 70s a lot, and then got back into it in the early 90s.
  22. Now I am sure there will really be a push for a USGP otherwise there wont be one in North America at all.
  23. Yeah, you gotta give them that, nothing sounds quite like a Ferrari.
  24. Looks good, doesn't it.
  25. That would be cool. I didn't even see it at Petit until it was buried under a tire wall. Are they racing it or just showing it?
