  1. wow, cool That happened to me too. A friend of my wife said she had a model car but didn't know anything about it and said she would send it to me if I wanted it. She sent me an old Entex 1/16 Buggatti Royal
  2. that was just artist concept drawing. BTW coupes are two seaters too! and it's going to be even wider in 09. That would be a good idea and then they would get more crossover.
  3. Mini is more of a maxi now.
  4. All grown up... considering the originals had small tractor engines.
  5. That sounds like just the beginning of my Starliner build.
  6. No it wasn't mounted upside down, but it was flown upside down. It did operate upside down. They did, however, mount DBs upside down.
  7. Not really. That was about all that they had in common was 12 cylinders. The case was different. the head design was completely different, it had a dry sump, and many carried a turbo or super charger. The Allison was more round in shape and the Pierce-Arrow was much boxier. Plus the intake/carb/charger system was completely different than anything found on the road. Notwithstanding, an Allison needed to operate upside down, which all hung off the back of the motor where a transmission would go. The biggest thing was size it was about twice the size of the V12s you are comparing it to.
  8. I am not sure that is what it will look like, but I am sure it's no DP car. But I cannot see Audi campaining a brand new open car for one year and having to build a new car for 2010. It's not a Speed 8 EXP, which was a great looking car.
  9. Had to look for sure, but yes, 2010 rules will be for coupes only. Here is a speculation of what the R15 may look like according to some.
  10. Interesting, Audi at one time was talking the new car would be a coupe to compete with the 908s, which have a little better aerodynamics. Then I heard something about a rule change for 2010 that would assure LMP1 and LMP2 would all be coupes.
  11. The "new" AMT Deluxe Starliner kit. All I have to say is, it's the way it should be. Good kit inside. A real good box, extras, ... I am impressed, which isn't easy to do.
  12. They been kind of saying that for a while now. It is supposed to be a coupe, which I think is a rule change for 2010. But with Puegoet taking the fight to Audi, they said they would pick up a little with a coupe. There is also a rumored Porsche Coupe LMP1 in pipe as well.
  13. $1.58 gal They said some places hit as low as $1.17.
  14. Vacuum brake booster?
  15. Not sure about being first but it was OHV Hydrolic tappet.
  16. I know the feeling. I always feel like I was born a decade too late.
  17. I think that was the best couple hundred bucks I spent: building a spray booth.
  18. I like HLJ too and they are cheap on Japanese kits, however ROG kits are very expensive. Last I checked an ROG Ferrari 250 was $52.
  19. You should have jumped on them when Squadron Shops had them for $2 a pop.
  20. Yeah, well, I am sorry I mentioned it all. I wont be making that mistake again... Strada who?
  21. Thanks for reminding me... I kept meaning to remove a few after the F1 season was over and forgot. I try to refresh them once in a while.
  22. Yeah those Germans had all kinds of alt fuel cars.
  23. exactly, first the just to get a license is a driving experience that most people never encounter. And it's like there national past time- rally racing.
  24. color besides black, airbrushed, mask off areas, BMF and ink washes goes a long long way
