  1. Nope, The Ford Capri coupe, produced by Ford Europe from 1969 to 1986. Completely different than any Mustangs.
  2. It's jacked up here in denver. -15 everything frozen been thawing pips since 6 AM and only have partially restored the water flow.
  3. that's good stuff.
  4. Looks like a Molser - Isdora
  5. Well it wasn't a US built Capri. It was one of the few Euro built cars that made its way back to the states.
  6. You are welcome. I hope they can get you what you need. Happy Holidays. Cheers Christopher
  7. I got small once, but it didn't turn out anything like that. Looks great!
  8. It's a Steam Roller Ja, it's a German Ford Capri.
  9. From what you discribe X. Fine Art Models. It's not an auction house but a dealer, they sometimes buy stuff, but would be able to put a value on it. They are the experts! http://www.fineartmodels.com/home/index.asp
  10. Thank you kindly sir, and Marry Christmas to you and your loved ones.
  11. If you really dig pretty deep into it all it's kind of confusing anyway. What every one knows as the LeMans winning Gulf Mk.II is in fact a Mk.I reworked to 68 specs, which is already 1 of 4 cars that were specially built for the Gulf team and are different than all the other "Mk.Is", which further lends to the idea Mk.s, a British thing not an American thing, was a superficial nomenclature invented by most likely commentators to distinguish the difference, but if you follow the Mk.s it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, particularly when you throw in the 68-69 Mk I were as the 66 winner was a Mk II. And is further complicated by the “J†car. I think the two 7.0 Mk. II warrant another Mk to themselves technically, and lets not forget the 351 cars, as well as the 4 Gulf Mk unique unto themselves. Is. Maybe it was the introduction of the Mk III, the road car that kinked it all up. In any event, there is just not a whole lot of rhyme or reason to it.
  12. The factory build sheets just say GT40 P - 1XXX no reference to Mk.s, I am sure the Mk. thing was something unoffically carry over from Lola.
  13. Well what we know IS true that December probably wasn't when Christ was born, and the current date did have some connections to a Pagan Holiday. However, some scholars who cross-refferenced a bunch of things suggest it was fall.
  14. Those were the first two that came to my mind before even reading what was inside your tread. Fujimi Ferrari 250 GTO and the Revell Nova. Best Reissue the 60 Ford Starline is a good one!
  15. I like that idea. I would have liked to know why something took home awards and something didn't, rather than just not knowing anything at all.
  16. The problem with accruacy is first you have to know and second you have to care. If it LOOKS right it's right in my book. I have seem models where the build spent a lot of time making it accurate but it didn't LOOK right. It's not going to win no matter how accruate it is.
  17. I guess it depends on the model. Is it plastic? Brass? Condition? History? There is a range from average build would be an X place to unload it, but if it's trully something very special it may go to Y.
  18. Maybe not. I said almost the exact same thing.
  19. Well, when I judge I look for what is striking and sticks out first. Then basic modeling techniques, seams filled, no glue globs, finger prints etc Fit and Finished is a big one for me. Then look at the details, I am always more inspired by stuff that may be a no brainer to the build but makes me say, "How in the heck did you do that?" Details that look natural and part of the model, the ones that are cleanly built with good basic building techs. beats out an average or okay modeler that loads it up with AM junk, EVERY TIME. While I can have some compassion for the guy who scratch builds an entire body or even a car, but the effort in it's self isn't enough to win me over. It's got to be done well... if it looks scratch built, well just lets say something scratch built should look factory. In otherwords, it shouldn't look scratch built. It's just like AM adds if it looks like it's supposed to be part of the model is better than something that looks scratch built, or AM just slapped on the model. Virtually EVERY TIME. To be honest, Accuracy is way down my list, because lets face it no matter what there will only be a certain degree of accuracy. Even regardless of subject matter, it's always the "Best" built model that wins me over. I hate NASCAR but had to vote for a NASCAR kit before simply because it was the best. In fact, it was unbelievable one the best models I have ever judged.
  20. It's the Rolex Grand Am series. Sports Car racing has been the fast growing segment for a few years now.
  21. Well most of the bad things were simply political arguments about fees. I don't think the services were ever put into question. You can do what you want to do, but in the grander scheme of things it's just not going to make a whole lot of difference if you buy off EBAY or not, other that you just cut you yourself off from a viable resource morelikely to make a political statement than anything else.
  22. I agree, I think it was only a small fraction of people who complained. The ONLY significant problem on EBAY was resolved by PayPal. Had it been a MO I'd been out, and doing a MO was PIA, IMHO. I did get some cheap stuff off sellers who only took MO's becuase nobody else wanted to bid on their stuff probably for the same reason I didn't like to: it's a PIA.
  23. I'd rather have a Kia Rio than a PT. A Volvo 850 T5R M59... muhahahahaha!
