  1. I build both. Really good kits because they are good and fun to build, even when I have not as much interest in the subject (they often turn out the best). Kits or subject I have no interest in I don't touch. But I will buy and build pretty much anything Porsche and a few other subjects that I have a fondness for. In the middle, subjects that I am kind of luke warm on and the kits isn't so hot, I will pass.
  2. Happy B-day Gregg From the great state of Colorado, we do think so.
  3. I think I see it's shadow... 51 New Zealand Jupiter. Cute little thing. I am sure it was influenced buy the Brits.
  4. Seems like that would be displaying an overly compulsive anal personality trait. 1:1 nomeclature means something to most people. The rest is just nonesense. I wouldn't have a clue what a 7mm slick was. I could figure it out but I don't want to work that hard to be honest. Where does it end? We wouldn't talk about a model with a 14 CID SBC, would we?
  5. It's actually Targa Florio. The only kit I know of is a Provence Moulage 1/43 scale resin kit. You might be able to modify a 908 coupe. There was once upon a time a VMC 71 Martini 908/3 1/24.
  6. If you can find a Verlinden resin bolt set. Probably has something you could use.
  7. Howb't an easy one to get the ball rolling sigh 24 days.
  8. Hey Look A steam roller
  9. I had that happed too. 6 kits 1 good kit and 5 boxes of trash. Only my guy got pissy about it. I always open them, if it's a long distance transaction I will ask to open them. I will of course agree to purchase if it is what it said to be.
  10. Yup a lot less dirts in my finishes since I built my booth. Besides the fumes it cut down.
  11. Sounds like what happened, but the report said he hit the concrete wall first, then the pole, and ripped the suspension and header off. It did have an Accelerometer on board, and they said it had gone to almost 200G-force. The thing looked like it exploded in the trap.
  12. Again... Dude, you are always under the radar or rock or something
  13. According to a form AMT employee it was 75000 units to break even on a tool. AFAIK there was only one tool for a kit. I never heard of mulitiple tools for the same kit. A tool when worn was either retired, or repaired, and then brought out for limited run specials. No assmebly line production.
  14. It was 1/3 and can be seen at Fine Art Models. It was also featured on an early Top Gear.
  15. I think .08 is legal most places. It's closer to .40 that is unconcious for most people. .25 is definatly impared but not unconcious. I think they just mistook the 25% for .25 BAC. They were also jokingly saying, "what happened did he have a couple beers with lunch?" Nevertheless, it should have been 0.00%
  16. The Chevy Van and ATV also belonged to ESPN. Donno if that is was killed him as it sounds like he hit a couple other things before the ESPN Crane, ESPN Van and ESPN ATV.
  17. I think you just output autocad to your cnc
  18. Sorry it was reported somewhere else as .25
  19. Every time the subject comes up I read all I can. As one who is in the market for a small machine shop in the near future it sure isn't any clearer than the first day....
  20. Not sure if it was talked about before. FWIW the accident report has been release. Scott had a BAC of .25 25% over the legal limit. Died from blut force injuries in excess of 100G-force and approching 200G-forces. Apparently the clutch locked together, while Scott was applying the brakes and still was in control of the car couldn't slow it down because the motor was still propelling the vehicle and ran off the end of the track at 125+ MPH. After which hit several objects including a concrete wall, soild support pole, the cast iron counterwieght of 22,750# crane, a Chevy Van and an ATV before finally coming to rest on the ground. New Jersey State Police are listing the cause as Castrophic engine failure Insufficient Braking Insufficient Auxiliary Braking (parachute failure) Driver Toxicology Basically a DUI and violation of NHRA Fixed Object Impacts
  21. Oh yeah, you can get a 3D printer, but it's $30,000.00 for the printer. no scanner pc or software. 10X more than a Sherline CNC.
  22. Today it is about 3k for a Sherline CNC and 30K for a 3D printer. still need a PC and software for either app.
  23. It is quite a more strech than that. In fact is more than the Sherline. $639.00 at Micromark. $575.00 for the little Sherline $449.00 for the Harbor Freight that looks just like the Micromark one $299.00 for the Harbor Freight mini.
