  1. Thanks, not a problem. Looks like an interesting kit. I seen it the LHS a while back but not any longer. Now I know where to get me one. Althoght I may have pick the devil...
  2. What scared already.... because I poked a hole in the quarter panel. A little milliputt on the backside fixed er up real fine. If you can find one build the Italeri one, or wait for the new Fujimi release. That Fujimi kit is not out yet.

    1967 corvette

that is what I was thinking, too... it's draggen butt a little bit. Yeah, nice paint on it though.
  4. I will probably have to get me one of those, but I have aready made my selection. ROG Ferrari GTO
  5. The had a mock up of an aircraft carrier in Lake Mich, there was an estimated 250 panes down there only a few have been recovered. I remember in the 70s they were selling titles to these planes for $50 each, the only catch was you had to salvage the plane within 6 months or a year at an estimated $400,000.00 back then. I guess the Wildcat was salvaged by a privateer and when the Navy got wind of it the seized the airplane, salvage equipment, and charged him with messing with US Government property, punishable by up to 10 years. They, only ending up replacing 93 of the 3,700 or so of the original rivets. It is one of the few flying Wildcats today.
  6. Nah it wont. most car springs sit below the axe.
  7. oh man... it's so thin I poked my figernail through it....

    Ferrari 250 TR

Nice job, look great, particularly in siver. I almost did my 250 TR instead of the 250 GTO.
  9. First impressions are, it's okay. It's going to need some work though. Man the quarter pl on the driver side is thinnnnn! I can see daylight through it. Some of it is pretty crude and some of it is outstanding. I never had seperate body parts (doors hood and trunk) fit so snug. Yeah psychedelic - hippie - Ferrari…. Er wait
  10. What I read is they were ALL red, had specail wheels and some stupid looking stripe down the side, and it was not a Carrera GT. it was just a plain jane 924 with some cosmetics.
  11. Yeah, it's going to take some work. I already had to do a fair amount of sanding and shaping to get the driver's door in place and lined up with quarter panel correctly. It seems the front end of the door lines up pretty good. But at the rear there a significant step up from door to the quarter. I had to sand part of the top of the frame off to get to fit in the opening so it's not so thick there. Now I have to and look to see what that detail might be.
  12. Guards Red man! maybe a little lizard. Like a Gekko. I see one thing I don't like already... the decal headlamp bezels.
  13. We'll see how this goes. A quick look at it and it's going to take a bit more work than the Italeri 250 kit, and the as probably everyone knows by now the kit was modeled after a car that had the entire rear smashed off it ... so the rear body is a IMHO is too high and too wide, but from what I read it was a conscious effort by the folks that did the restoration on it too “improve†the car. It has a fantastic set of wire spoke wheels. I haven’t see anything this finely molded in plastic before, other than the original Protar kit, which this is a reissue of that kit.
  14. Intersting. Well, what you have pictured wasn't a Sebring Edition in any event. Editions Must have been a VW thing.. What you have pictured is a Carrera GT. 937/38
  15. I hate when that happens, but I think the ROG Ferrari 250 GTO has spoken to me and she said, "I am the chosen one." I will probably be sorry later for it...
  16. A new Turbo would be nice, but a Flying lizard, TRG, or Lowe car in plastic that would hit the spot. Some DP cars too!
  17. I'd build a Jagermister 320
  18. Yeah, we are about due for a new 911 particularly in the late model FIA, Rolex, Koni, AMLS, LM GT race cars. One basic new tool could cover a lot of ground.
  19. Thanks I will keep it in mind. ROG racing version?
  20. Don't get me wrong. The kit is a heck of a nice looking kit. It just doesn't build into a LeMans race car version, even with the few added trees. I'd get one.
  21. a 2002? I remeber one I build as a kid and had an opening trunk. I could never figure out who did make it or if there are any around. That was a jillion years ago.
  22. Well that's the plan then... back to the LHS for one of these bad boyz.
  23. They had one a while ago but I didn't see it today. I wouldn't mind a 2002
  24. Thanks let me see if I can find it.
