  1. Me too, there was only a handfull left last time I checked. I am sure when I have 5 bills to blow on a model update it will be $1000.00
  2. It was especailly wicked looking with all the doors flying open.
  3. Well they say if you do it... do it well.
  4. That #30 Mazda is a good looking car. I am not sure about that flat black Speed Source car
  5. Unofficial results. SpeedSource Mazda RX8 Farnbacher Loles Porsche GT3 Stevenson MS Pontiac GXPR
  6. Great move by Pruett. I wonder how shocked the Gainsco guys are. He was more like bulldozered over than actaully flipping.
  7. Well yeah, once I we saw the replay it wasn't nearly as bad as what it first looked like.
  8. WOW what a finish! THAT'S RACING BOYS!
  9. I just saw that... Don't see that too often. I hope he is okay. They are dropping like flies. Unbelieveable! That was scary. Especailly when I first saw it... didn't see what happened but to see an RX8 on it's roof in the high banking it looked bad.
  10. I only ripped three of the four off the car. And some suspension bits. oh yeah and the front off, and caved a door in.... and both rockers .... and the floor tore off a bunch of splash shields, under tray, It was not good. absolutely.
  11. It's a sweet kit. Now I just need the $500 Scale Motorsports update, which is even cooler.
  12. Yeah that was in about 95 the store couldn't move them and blew them out so I grab them. I will have to look next time I am at the LHS. They have a jillion Ferrari kits.
  13. I did thrash an 8 a little too hard and killed it. 10k + in damages We found that it was directly caused by and over active DSC and stone cold Potenzas. Oh well. So they are not indistructable, but ###### near!
  14. Most people don't know how to drive a rotary and are afraid the thrash the living daylights out of it. But I regularly made mine beep. It has a pretty level power curve it just keeps pulling and pulling and pulling from about 1500 to 9000. It just doesn't have the torque to get it there that fast. There is NOTHING that sounds like a rotary.
  15. I agree, I will probably get one just because it's a Porsche and snatch up anything Porsche I can. BTW I don't think Hasegawa ever did an actual 956, but I think they have sold there 962 as a 956 in the past.
  16. I have owned a few Rotarys, but I can beat an RX8 with my 6
  17. 04 Mazda 6 Sport I did drive a bunch of RX8s. The are phenomenal. Good balance, 9000rpm red line, drives likes it’s on rails. Good power – eventually. No torque.
  18. Yeah it does scream.
  19. That's awesome, and for all the reason you said. Probably the best I have seen yet.
  20. The Revell Porsche IIRC is a reissue of the Hasegawa 962C kit with different decals. I think there had been a lot of discussion about it, but I think in the end you'd be better off with a Tamiya 956 and a set of decals. That's cool. I am glad I got my big series Porsche when I did becasue I got em cheap. On sale $49.99
  21. Newest? Italeri's Porsche Turbo, which is getting kind of old now. I did get a R8 recently, but haven't busted into it yet. And I just picked up the New Revel Nova. I am getting in the mood for armor though and have been looked at the Cyber Hobby Tiger, which is just an amazing kit. It is a limited one run kit and the LHS happens to have one - I'd be in the dog house though if I sprung for a $60 armor kit.
  22. Please. It's hardly what I would even call a car. Nobody wanted them. It was only produced for a few years. Only 3000 were sold in the states, and they couldn't get rid of them. That is why even though production ended in 1988, they were still selling new ones until 1990. It was just a junky version of the early Passat.
  23. Here a good profile. Note 1. The rear wheel opening 2. The height of the window openings. 3. The flow of the sailpanel. 4. The Body lines 5. Door shape and size - particlarly height. 6. Rear Window shape. 7. Roof line 8. Angle of the bottom of the quarter. I will be getting into the front here shortly. But I think the angle of the front grill insert and size of part for the AMT is the big short comming and what makes the AMT Nova look a bit off.
  24. You are all welcome. More to come as I come across things take photos etc. It's going to be a long and involved process by the looks of it. There was always something about the AMT kit that didn't quite look like a Nova. I think I am narrowing it down to a number of things
