  1. I got a couple, too, but no SOHC. However, someone once upon a time claimed to have some. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.p...ost&p=87115
  2. Yeah, I seen one at the LHS, it was $30 and we have a pretty high tax rate so about $34 when it was all said and done. I passed. I'd rather have a 427 SOHC parts pack if I could find one.
  3. Funny how that happened hu?
  4. Actually the biggest battle ships were the Yamato and her sister Musashi (and a third hull Shinano, which was being converted into the largest aircraft carrier), it also carried the largest guns put on a ship 18.1 inch guns, which required all the AAA stations to be inclosed so when they fired the concusion wouldn't kill the crew. Still a tad short of Dora's 32 inches.
  5. Hey look it's fat boy, where is little Tom?
  6. My gun is bigger than your gun. Say hello to my little friend.
  7. An Aoshima Bluefin Toyota 4 Runner for another long on going project and another Revell 612 Scag.

    Jaguar XK-120

I agree, I can't imagine one in another color. Jaguar did have some gorgeous cars.
  9. 50. cal. hahaha that's a girls gun. I got a 88 mm. Which had a higher muzzle velocity and accurate to 3000m.

    993 AD CAR

Just finished shooting the final clear on the body
  11. The resin part is out of focus... Are you talking the indentation? I be glueing styren sheet on the side to build up the raised part vs trying to sink the lower part.
  12. Well, let's say you got in your car and floored it. Then all the sudden you are doing warp 1, the speed of light, and it starting getting dark out. So you turn on your headlamps... does anything happen?

    Jaguar XK-120

That's cool. That is good to hear that it was a pleasurable build. I have one myself to build, and I will be needing a new build here shortly as my 993 is near completion.
  14. You'd probably be best off in 1/72 scale. There is a good selection of figs. I don't know of any in 1/80
  15. I am not sure it's that important. Steven King didn't know squat about cars and made several mistakes in Christine and a couple other books that had cars, and his books still sold well.
  16. 1955 Mercury Montclair had the first factory air. From outside the car you could probably only tell when it was running and the AC was cycling. It was probably mostly under the hood and not so much under the dash. HTH
  17. That is pretty much my answer, because we can.
  18. Okay, I am not sure what you are talking about. The backwards tank? Or the weird fabricated tank experiment?
  19. donno but I will need one soon
  20. That is interesting. I sent a car to Sweden, once. A rare Porsche RSR. Had to pick it up in New York, drive it to Chicago load it on a plane and send it off. Destination Sweden. It probably would have been a fun little journey. Fly to New York pick up a RSR and drive it halfway cross-country. If you don’t know a Porsche RSR was basically a factory racecar. It was gutted and striped of anything unnecessary to go fast. The unfortunate part of this little trip it was in December, and it was ###### cold. Not that these air-cooled Porsche had much heat to begin with, but this had nothing. No heat exchangers, no ducting. Nothing. Not even defrost. So what could have been a fun trip in the summer months was a dreadful experience. No heat, froze my ass off, could see out of the ###### thing cuz the windows keep frosting over, and noisy due to the complete lack of anything remotely close to insulation and the loud exhuast, which was all I heard for the next week ringing in my frost bit ears.
  21. errr same to you buddy. seriously though you put on a good show. I guess that is a greeting... welcome come on in, eh?

    993 AD CAR

In the home stretch. It might even get on of those expensive badges in the background.
  23. No it was actually located in the very center of a staight through glass pack.
  24. I'd have to agree with that. I have pretty much hit them all and this stands out over the others in a lot of different ways.
  25. I seem to recall a certain glass pack that had a turbine fan gizmo, for god knows what reason, that was on a bushing.
