'sIt seems I got a little ahead of myself on this one. First I should show a little perspective of what this project is all about These are the four cars I want to replicate. The Pony Express is the car I was associated and was actually the Titanium Pinto when it was a AA/FC. Unfortunately the titanium chassis was so badly stressed cracked we had to replace it with an almost identical 4130 copy that was set up for our tall deck 512 cu in BBC. I have also Included a photo of the first model in the series, my first attempt at printing my own decals and BTW that's me beside the car 37 years ago. The colors on the model are closer than the picture of the rear car shows the lighter panels were quite blue as per the model

A set of four touring BB/FC's out of Alberta that ran in the mid 70's in Alberta, Sask., B.C., Washington and Montana. 1/25 Competition Resins Vega Panel body with a late model nose grafted on, 3D printed BBC blown Alcohol engine, scratch built tin work, modified Soapy Sales chassis and Custom made decals. Mock upstage to make sure everything fits before starting the rising sun graphics. I just starting to print my own decals so the process is going very slowly. The name on the original car was Banzai

Amazing work, I'm trying to do some construction in brass but it's just not working for me. I'm not sure what is going wrong but the results generally suck. I think it may be the flux that's the problem What are you using?

One of my favorite Pro Stocks of all time You have done a terrific job of recreating it. A job very well done with great detail!

I was trying a few things around the time I built this, but I'm pretty sure I used DuPont A7480S clear door jam Acrylic. It works great except 1 It is really only suitable for spraying with a mask 2 it drys so hard it's hard to polish You get a great shine but you really have to apply a lot of pressure. I also use future a lot and get similar results but without the downsides. I've heard of future yellowing but that has not been my experience, although my models never see sunshine or fluorescent lighting Now all LED

Joined quite a while ago but life sometimes gets in the way. I built mostly competition car models, Tamiya 1/20 Formula 1, drag race vehicles, up to now 1/25 but I have obtained a couple of 1/16 Revell kits with attending A/M bits and pieces. Current interest has been is replicating mid 70s BB/FC's that we ran with up in the Pacific Northwest. Very time consuming due to they are all custom made decal projects. Glad to be here!

Thanks guys The color was Tamiya Lemon Yellow X-8 thinned with Tamiya reducer X-20A The pictures show it slightly darker than it actually is.
