About Me
I was a graphic art designer for 32 years and I consider myself as a perfectionist. I plan to retire in few years and I find a lot of satisfaction in model car building. I only build 1/25 scale models, mainly drag racing cars using old JoHan, MPC or AMT body that I modify using newer donor cars and/or by extensive scratch building. I do love to make rare or never seen subjects to have something different to offer at model car shows. I do have a manual Sherline lathe and milling (no CNC) with acesssories to make my own parts in aluminum or brass. I also have an American Beauty resistance soldering unit for welding my brass parts. I recently purchased all of the tools and supplies needed to anodize on aluminum, so I will be using this technique to color some highly visible parts like valve covers.
I have a few old models built in my display cabinet which I will share later but for now I have 5 threads running on the forum, 1 work in progress and 4 models completed but all posted under WIP:
