If you would like the shine and mirror like qualitys of "Future" you should get "Pledge Floor care Finish" Also on the bottle it says "2x the shine". I'm convinced its the same product as "Future". It even comes in the same bottle "Future" use to come in. You can buy it anywhere they sell floor care products. Probably even at your local grocery store.

Yes, The entrance to the Walmart store on fm646 is where the starting line to the drag strip was. Every time I go to Walmart I think about the great times I had going there in the sixty's. Sorry most of the pictures of this build went away thanks to photobuckets greed.

My bad , David. I was only thinking about the big non grille between the headlights. Your right, the functioning grille between the park lights does have a frame and mesh. Sorry bout that.

David on the real car there is no mesh for the grille or a frame. It's just a big decal. The grille is completely smooth. Do some googling to find close ups of real car grilles and you will see what I mean.

J.C. I use a wide brush barely overlapping each pass. also make sure you don't use too much or it will run and pile up due to gravity. Future is now sold as Pledge Floor Care.

Red Byron was the first Nascar Strickly Stock champion in 1949. Strickly Stock was the forerunner to what is now known as the Monster Energy Cup series. The kit I used was the Revell 1950 olds kit. I did some modifications to the body to make it look like a 49. The build took 105 hours to complete. Thanks, Joe. I did not see the clear in the picture. Let's call it a senior moment. I bought some of that paint to do a build and I guess I better go ahead and try it. Still, applying that clear and getting that result is phenominal from a spray can.

Awesome build and finish. So your saying you got that finish without polishing or clearing? If so, that's amazing work with a spray can.

This is the first build I have done that actually got published in a magazine. Check out the May issue of "Poncho Perfection" magazine. Its on page 8.

Thanks, Andy. I really like Chris because he reminds me of the drivers back in the day like Cale, Donnie, Bennie, Bobby, Ricky, and guys like that. The modern drivers are too polished in their look and the way they talk. Chris has a Texas accent and he doesn't try to hide it. And he doesn't look like his second job is being a catalog model.
