  1. Does anyone know of a fabric I could use to simulate 1/25 scale canvas?
  2. looking great. i'll be watching this one.
  3. Fixed the rear corners of the interior tub opening . Fixed the holes in the tops of the front fenders and added the tonneau cover braces.
  4. You are lucky the decals did'nt turn brittle at their age. Excellent job.
  5. Bruce, Its a secret but if you look at the wips again there are some clues in them.
  6. Bart, No the grille is not molded to the body but the seats are molded to the interior tub and I have to cut the back off of the right front seat. It will be very interesting to figure that out and also install the roll cage.
  7. Thanks Erik. I will have to Strengthen it with some evergreen strips after I install the windshield.
  8. Another Excellent build
  9. Excellent build.
  10. Amt chevy kit. Tamiya paint. Homemade decals. More pics in Nascar section.
  11. Excellent job , Hondo. So glad that Stoney is making decals for these kits.
  12. Thanks guys. I guess I will be doing a Ford next year. Rusty went from a Ford Blue Deuce to a Dodge and now Brad will be going back to a Ford. Just to think Brad will be in the same camp with Edwards irks me. I bet Brad's not to happy with the move since his dad always drove Dodges during his ARCA career.
  13. Niko, that must have been two winters ago because thats when Kurt was driving the blue deuce and it still had the ugly braces on the front splitter.
  14. I totally agree with you Dave. Since these amt cars are the most accurate modern cars available.
  15. Finally finished. Pictures are in the Nascar section of the forum.
  16. Finally got this one done. The decals took longer to make than the model did. 2010 AMT Earnhardt Jr. 1/25 scale snapkit. Tamiya ts-50 paint. Evergreen styrene strips, rods, and sheets to make the front splitter, rear spoiler and shark fins. Squadron white putty to fill in the gaps. All decals created by me except for the Sunoco, Goodyear, Nascar race car decal on the a-pillar, and the aero decals on the wheels. These came with the kit. I also had to modify the quarter glasses to look like Dodge quarter glasses. I wanted this model to resemble the Pocono car because that's where Brad beat Kyle Busch to the finish line.
  17. I definitely will be watching this one. I owned a 76 Laguna s-3 that I ordered from the factory but i ordered it with the 350 2bbl instead of the 400 4 bbl. It was a dog needless to say. I ordered it without the stripes because the ones that came in with the stripes never looked right. I have a model of the 75 malibu that i need to do. The one that needs the fender openings made smaller. I think it is also a model king kit.
  18. The decals turned out pretty good but the bleed through is pretty bad even though they are white sheet decals. I have decided to print three more sheets and do another layer to improve on the bleed through problem.
  19. Finished decaling today. All I lack is installing the roof antenas and sealing the decals with future this Thursday. After that I will take the final pictures and call this one done.
  20. Just to show the difference between a 1:24 scale decal and a 1:25 I found an old goodyear decal from a 1:24 scale sheet and put it above the goodyear decal that I will use that came in the amt snap kit I am using to build this model. Pretty big difference. An enterprising decal maker that does 1:24 scale decals could reduce his sheets and print them as 1:25 scale. He could offer both sizes to his customers.
  21. Thanks ,Randy. I really appreciate the compliment.
  22. The only reason I use the Testors sheets is because they are readily available at Hobby Lobby and with a 40% off coupon they are not to expensive. They are however pretty hard to work with . That is why i put multiple images on the sheets. If I mess up I don't have to print a whole new sheet. If you build a white car you can use clear sheets and you don't have to cut the image out exactly on its edge.
  23. Matt, I created them with an Adobe Photodeluxe 2.0 program and printed them out on an HP 4500 Office jet printer.I got the images from pictures from the internet. I used Testors white decal sheets and will cut out the images as close to the edge as possible. I will touch them up with some decanted paint, as necessary, and then seal them with future.
