  1. Another great job. Ward drove that car at one time in the Busch series.
  2. Thanks,Ron. I found a big picture of Brad's car at the Carlisle website which will help greatly in making the decals.
  3. Almost forgot the sharkfin. Added it this morning. Need to reprime the body one more time and I think I will finally be able to shoot the blue. The Tamiya paint goes on so smoothly I am hoping I wont have to polish it out.

    60 Bel Air

    Nice conversion to Bel Air.
  6. Great start , Niko I'll be watching.
  7. 95% denatured alchohol is a little hotter than the isopropol alchohol and works faster and is still safe for the plastic.
  8. Great job. Where did you get the decals?
  9. Another great job O.C.. Too bad Three Amigos does not do Nascar sheets anymore.
  10. Got it reprimed but realized I had forgotten the sharkfin that extends down the side of the backglass and over to the rear spoiler. I thought i would be able to shoot the blue this Thursday but I guess not.
  11. Here are some shots after the first two color priming. I will block sand the top white color off to reveal the gray undercoat and this should get rid of a lot of dips , scratches and pin holes. When you first start to sand white dots ,lines and spots will appear. These are pinholes, sand scratches and depressions. The dark lines and spots that appear are high spots and ridges. If you continue to sand just until the white primer goes away you should have a pretty smooth body ready for the final primer coat. I have to decide if the final color looks better over white primer or dark gray. I sprayed two small pieces of styrene with each primer and will paint them with the blue and compare them to actual pictures of the real car to see which is closer.
  12. Beautiful, This was my dream car back in the day but the closest I got to getting one was a 68 GTO.
  13. Excellent as always, O.C.
  14. Added the grille to the front and whatever holds the spoiler on the real car to the rear spoiler.
  15. Its just a shelfer. No need for an engine.
  16. If you use a revell Dodge engine it would not fit between the frame rails or allow enough room for a radiator. It is just too big at 1/24 scale to fit in this 1/25 scale model.
  17. Lanny, I could see where it could be done but I do not know where to find a 1/25 scale engine. If you used an engine from a 2007 1/24 scale Revell kit it would not look right. It would be way too big. AMT could have sold a lot more of these kits if they had just made them 1/24 scale. It would not have been that much more plastic in each kit to have done it. Pretty bad decision on their part.
  18. Fabbed and installed beginnings of fuel filler. drilled and then cut out exhaust.
  19. Just need to putty the quarter extensions and enlarge the fuel intake hole and add a fuel filler. After that I should be able to prime the body
