  1. When I lived in Lancaster County, Pa. in the `90's there was a guy with a Lumina done up like a stocker. Looked great swimming through traffic….
  2. Yeah, I was surfing around and stumbled on it. Way cool! I always thought how cool it would be to do that, and here it is!
  3. Geeez…. and today I learn friend's of my family lost their Father yesterday. 85 yrs. old bless is soul. RIP Vince…. I know it'll get better. But it's been a &^%$%^ ride so far.
  4. My heart felt sympathy goes out to the Sloan family and Nick's friends. Anniversary's such as this are best acknowledged openly rather than being emotionally quiet. Condolences on a tragic day….
  5. Good advice Marcos! After primer, but before paint: After paint:
  6. $17.5K for a model? You can build a half a dozen Camaros for that kind of coin!!!!! Or one really cool Mopar…. Hey, we spend on what we want…. I don't think that price is sane or stable, but how many sane & stable people do YOU know?
  7. Thanks gang…. My sister is just sore, but she's doing OK. My Mother-in-Law was following the ambulance to the hospital and got T-bone on the way. She's ok, but hopefully she'll leave the Prius in the junkyard. Then there's the cold I have brewing…. And my arthritis is hurting a few knuckles & joints….. and it's friggen COLD outside and icy. I can't even take the `Cuda out for some red-line power-shift therapy! Geeez…. I know life rolls in cycles. This is a rough one so far…… ------------------------------------------ BTW: Just saw the weather report for today: I may get some relief as the weather is supposed to warm up. Maybe the fingers and joints will feel good enough to finish one of the Barracudas this weekend.
  8. We'll be OK…. John always has a plan B, but the Father-in-Law is a serious issue. My Wife is upset….My sister is healing, the job….eh. I have options. It's just been a bad week, especially including all the things that now seem too trivial to mention. Wow….
  9. My Sister was hospitalized & had her Gall Bladder removed. Last night we learn Amy's Dad's Prostate Cancer has Metastisied, and yesterday we were given the heads-up my dealership is circling the drain getting ready to be flushed.... Wow.....
  10. I think he meant either Hot Rod Deluxe or Rodders Journal. Whatever it is, he keeps it on his coffee table ;-)
  11. I'm still with Hot Rod, HR Deluxe, Car Craft, and Hemmings Muscle Machines. I let all my Mopar magazines expire as one is from Peterson (Hot Rod) with redundant features, and one I can't tolerate the writing. Oh, almost forgot.... I also subscribe to Model Cars. Ever since the Plastic Fanatic days......
  12. I've seen the actual car and while it does appear close, there's really no way to tell without an actual paint "chip". Rich will ultimately make the call….
  13. Wow…. a nice surprise seeing an update tonight. That Ghia looks sooooooo bitchen!
  14. If your not happy, that's all that matters. I thought it looked dark in pictures too, but it's hard to tell. My car always looks blue in pictures, but it's a green/blue (Turquoise!) that never photographs right. Strip-it and try plan B.
  15. I read about the accident on Hot Rod's FB page. Something about a stuck throttle and a judge getting injured. Pictures look great…. I have to add that show to my bucket-list.
  16. Remember, I'm just over the bridge and can be out there in 40 minutes. Maybe a Friday night Banzi run is in order….. Unless I bring Amy as the designated driver, I doubt I'll drink. But it could be fun just to hang out without the "show" getting in the way.
  17. All these colors… wish there was a way to photograph all the high-impact colors together. Loving it….. great color choice!
  18. Greg, your doing a great job on this! The only critique would be the orientation of the arms on the Z bar. You want the clutch fork lever close to the engine, not the frame rail as pictured, and the pedal lever leaning forward on the frame rail side. If you look at the relationship of the clutch pedal to the Z bar levers it's obvious. It looks like you got it, but just be careful! I hope this helps: Anytime I have a question, I just use Google, or a similar search engine. It's amazing what type of detail drawings/pictures are out there. If you don't find what your looking for, change the wording or description slightly. I typed in "plymouth clutch linkage drawing" and found the above image. Great job your doing. The air shocks are period-perfect and look VERY convincing too! And the plumbing…. wow.
  19. We're all looking forward to this one Rich. I know your heart will be in this one 110%! I'm happy that I had what you needed to build her. I remember the original, and we'll all looking forward to the replica. Like I said, you owe me lunch at NNL East…..
  20. I enjoy the quiet and solitary environment to un-wind. My work day is noisy, and at times chaotic. When I was restoring the Barracuda there would be afternoons I'd take 6 hours to do 3 hours worth of work. I enjoyed every moment of building that car. Same goes with the models. I haven't touched the `70 in 2 days, the `68 in a week now. I guess I don't need the therapy right now…. although I did cut all the "glass" for the `68 this morning over coffee.
  21. My brother-in-law just lost his six year old Cat this morning…. He's heartbroken. That's the day no pet owner looks forward to. Especially when they're that young. I'd be devastated to lose my boy early…..
  22. Awesome fabrication of the suspension and cage. Very nice work! Having owned a Baja Bug when I was younger I had a limited familiarity with off-roading and your truck has the look. Nice build.
  23. I agree. It has a certain "look" to it that screams realism. Once again, nice work my friend!
  24. I acknowledged your post in a humorous "yeah-yeah" manner! Believe me, I'm not taking anything serious here. Tonight I fell asleep in the recliner and now it's 2:00 am and I'm thinking of hitting the workbench. I'm also planning on blowing tomorrow in the there since I live in the Tundra now and I don't want to go out unless I MUST. Updates for sure in the afternoon, now let's see your `59 Rich. BTW: What year did you get her, and unfortunately….sell her?
