  1. Yes…. very nice! Again, while I'm not a big fan of certain high-impact colors, this build is a stand out. Teaser pic or not, there's enough to see this kit is a nice one. And you did it justice!
  2. Why do families have to do just that, bring FOUR GENERATIONS of family with them food shopping? The aisles are only so wide folks……
  3. That is looking soooo nice.
  4. I agree, looking good Jeff! Nice seeing the new stuff getting sliced up! Drivetrain ideas yet?
  5. Neutering Fleas....... now THAT'S a good line!
  6. RIP Stu and thanks for your contributions!
  7. The stars have aligned and the powers that be are smiling down upon me. My Modelhaus order arrived today And here's the corn cobb `67 skeleton for the interior and chassis And then I remembered I bought a bench seat from Harts Parts!!!!!! I have to re-work the patterns on the seats and fabricate all the body glass. I also have to dig out an Autometer billet tach for the dash and make the custom pistol grip shifter I have. The final detail is to make a set of polished exhaust tips and photoshop my license plate. Just wait until I do the full detail version. Looks like I got a model to build......
  8. This is Joseph's 1/24 drag radial on a 1/25 `68 Barracuda And it fills the wheel well almost the same as on my actual car Just saying....
  9. ....and that day was today! Another batch of great stuff. The forces are with me on getting this `Cuda DONE!
  10. Here's the rolling stock. Rims are Replicas & Miniatures Hot Rod wheels, the `67-8 Plymouth dog dish hub caps are from Arrowhead Machine, front tires the parts box, and those beautiful drag radials are from Chief Joseph. And here she is propped up. If you squint real hard..... I still have to figure out my bench seat, I have the interior bucket & chassis (such as it is) to throw it together.
  11. Loving watch you knock them out Rich. The subjects are so interesting and your making good calls on colors/combos.
  12. I'll second that! No matter how well engineered a kit can be, it takes "the touch" of a good builder to make them stand out. Your foil work on this build is really impressive. And the grill work....paint...assembly.... Can't wait to see how you finish her up. Looks great so far!
  13. Wow.... running out of steam. I can't crank away 7 days a week anymore like I used too. I got the hobby room in much better order today. Never touched the actual workbench.... but got the room in order. Now when I clean the bench, I have space to organized and put away everything that's out now. The part that always makes me cringe is vacuuming. No matter how many times i get down on the floor with a flashlight and look, I roll the vacuum across the floor and it always sounds like I'm sucking up a 1,000 BB's. I have visions of half of the Model Car Garage's catalog going up the tube.... I'm going to try and drag my sorry old butt upstairs and have at it later. I really want to get this going! In another post I mentioned I found another can of MCW Turquoise Metallic stashed away. I also have the roached-out `67 fastback interior/chassis donor ready for some attention. <sigh....> Just let me sit in the recliner for a few minutes....
  14. While cleaning the hobby room I remembered I had a wooden hobby tool chest stashed away in the basement. I had won this years ago at the CPMCC picnic and now I finally have the space to use it. As I pick it up, somethings rolls inside and thumps against the side. I open the bottom drawer. Know what I found? A can of MCW Bright Turquoise Metallic, or in other words L1 Surf Turquoise, matching paint for my car. I must have bought this years ago too and "put it away" and forgot about it. The funny thing is I'm just starting a replica of my car and I might use this. Wow, weird....huh?
  15. Yes, I am a lucky man. And here's a funny story that is absolutely true: Before we decided to stop renting it and move into the house we had a small co-op (apartment) and during the week parts would be shipped to my shop, and I'd bring them home. On weekends I'd bring these parts to the house where the car was stored. One morning my Wife comes out of the bedroom and trips over a box and almost goes through our glass-top coffee table. I help her up laughing..... She looks at me and, naturally, ask's why I was amused by her tripping and falling. I then explained to her the irony of her almost going through the coffee table tripping over my drive shaft SAFETY loop. Fortunately, she "got it" and we had a good laugh. I'm not sure if she's ultra cool, or has given up on me..... BTW: That same winter I had the dash for the Barracuda under the same glass-top coffee table. Great conversation piece when people would visit.
  16. I've said it before, I'll say it again. After my `68 Barracuda, my next favorite Mopars are the `71 + up B bodies. A black 440-6 GTX stick with a white interior. Wow.....
  17. For example, here's my Wife enjoying an iced coffee and a (real...) NY bagel watching me work on the Barracuda back when it was going together. There would be night's I was an hour past dinner, but she would let me work in the garage. Although, I wouldn't mind a custom built house with a huge garage.
  18. Oooh.... That's BAD! I said the cage was optional because my Wife loves it when I'm in the garage because: 1- She knows where I am 2- With me in the garage, I'm not around to annoy her 3- When my delinquent friends visit, she knows where WE are..... 4- The neighbors are used to me 5- And my Wife would be the first to run sandwiches and drinks out to us.
  19. My mistake for not posting sooner, but I recently bought a pair of 275-60-15 drag radials from Joseph and they are BEAUTIFUL! I'll be a repeat customer for sure!
  20. I like your cars Bob. When I was a kid I had a `68 383-S 4 spd. and it was WAY too much car for a 17 yr. old! <sigh....> Hind-sight is always 20-20. If I ever decide to re-do my car, big bolt pattern wheels w/ 4 wheel disc's would be up there with a Tremec 6 spd. conversion. Anyway, before we get bounced to the off-topic section, today the hobby room get's some love, then we can start with the activities. Chief Joseph's resin drag radials are absolutely beautiful and fill the wheel wells out nicely. Hopefully I'll have some mock-up's tonight. Niko, I'm hoping mine runs that well. I haven't run it at the track yet, but I am tempted to find a deserted stretch of late-night highway with my G-Tech meter and see.....
  21. I always listen when Bill gives an evaluation on a kit, and it's been too long since we've heard from you! While the subject of this post is appreciated, I'm more concerned about Bill. How have YOU been and we hope all is well.
