  1. All of our pets have been rescued. Those indeed are the best, and my favorite, breeds! He's such a mush with our family & friends, but he has a serious side that keeps strangers at a distance. He's filled out to about 110lbs. and I'm fortunate we spent the effort in training him. He can be a handful, but we both work and the house is empty all day long. A routine that would be noticed.... No one in their right mind is coming into our home un-invited. But he does love belly rubs from me!
  2. Mopar guys not notice a detail like that? Nah, never happen! There's Mopar guys out there that can spot the deck height difference on big blocks in 1/25th. scale! All kidding aside, if I'm not mistaken, wasn't black also available very early in the run? I remember reading about a non-Argent color somewhere in the past..... And yes, it's killing me not being able to put my hands on one, in good conscience, until Christmas. <Grrrrr!>
  3. There's a warm, reassuring sensation when you hit the submit button when ordering from The Modelhaus. I know in a few weeks I'm going to come home and find a package of some of the most awesome model parts money can buy waiting for me...... Bound to make any day better!
  4. Supposedly eight were built, but it's debatable..... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=299269
  5. I was informed this morning that my Niece is getting me the `Cuda for Christmas. I have to wait another MONTH for mine, as I don't want to ruin her gift idea by buying one first.... I know I probably won't build it immediately, but it's that "I-gotta-have-it-or-I'm-gonna-die" syndrome most of us suffer from. I'm being tested.
  6. Three years ago today me & my wife rescued our boy Buddy. While we can only "guesstimate" his Birthday (early January), we know when his anniversary with us is. Awesome companion! Funny story: The night we went to the shelter (Sean Casey Animal Rescue, wonderful people) in Brooklyn, we were introduced to a 65lb. 10 month old puppy. He jumped up with his paws on my chest and licked my face. He turned, jumped up and licked my wife the same way while relieving himself on her leg. She looked at me and said "He chose us!" He's been a part of us from day one. Wonderful companion, fearless guard dog. German Shepherd/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. Incredible combination.
  7. Don't touch it ! I agree, build another if you have more ideas. Dune Buggy's are like `32 Fords: no two are alike as there are a million interpretations. Sweet build, I see nothing wrong with the finished car. I like it alot.
  8. I almost typed the wrong thing about the engine compartment until I realized the body color is black.... Nice job Tim!
  9. Your buggy looks great Bob. I used to eat, sleep, breath air cooled VW's in the 80's and I picked up on the hydraulic clutch conversion immediately. Changing those clutch cables were a pain "back in the day", but I got good at shifting without the clutch...... When I was shopping for a project car years ago, I was looking for either a Barracuda or a Dune Buggy. I actually went and looked at a Dune Buggy and was ready to buy it, but the seller backed out. I had planned on a 2 liter turbo motor & full cage, but found the Barracuda the same week. Now I'm looking for a buggy again, but a sedate cruiser as the Wife wants a drop top/open ride. Yeah...my model Buggy build will be the car I wanted to build 15 yrs. ago. Thanks for the inspiration!
  10. MCW lists 5953 Gold Met. and 5954 Copper Met. as `59 Dodge colors. Was your car re-painted? On a separate note, I saw Tom's `60 Plymouth wagon on Facebook. Wow.....
  11. That kit is going to be real interesting once the Hemi comes out and the straight 8's, AMC, a Cadillac engines start slipping in. This frame begs for diverse builds as that was the era. They all weren't fire breathing Hemi's. But however it's built, it's always nice to see a new tooling of a popular subject. Hey, it could have been another Mustang or Camaro kit, right?
  12. Thanks for posting the build Tim. This kit looks like a winner. I'll have to hit my (limited these days.....) local sources for one or three....
  13. Beautiful build, clean & classy! Great color choices too!
  14. Not to pic-nits, but is that a hydraulic master cylinder behind the clutch pedal on the floor pan? Then why a clutch cable? Then again, no one will see it. Beautiful detailing.... I have a buggy on this winters to-do list also.
  15. Looking good Rich! When you starting on the Tuna Boat?
  16. Loving the editing too!
  17. Nah, I had to work. I managed to get Thanksgiving week off for vacation, I wasn't about to bust ball-joints over getting that Saturday off. My place is very spiteful & vindictive. After getting a choice week off I couldn't complain about working.....
  18. This is one of my favorites. As a note of distinction, Gregg did a feature on this T bucket in the final issue of Plastic Fanatic way-back when..... Monogram Boomer Bucket converted to right hand drive, stuffed in a Jaguar 4.2 litre six fully detailed, and did up a nice chassis. Wheels & rims are Replicas & Miniatures. Paint is some True Match yellow, w/white interior.
  19. I didn't torch my models, but Aurora cars were fair game. Set. 2 on fire and see who remains mobile the longest..... or until a screaming parent intervened.
  20. The radiator support should be black, not body color. The white is distracting.... And as for the performance of that factory induction system, all I can say is Yeee-Ha! It's absolutely intoxicating when those end carbs open up. You better be aimed where you want to go......
  21. Nice selection on the colors Rich. Looking forward to seeing this come together.
  22. Sweeeet! Nice progress Dan!
  23. Wow, I wonder how much for a phantom kit of my personal car? My car on the box, MPC or AMT logo's and all..... From that perspective I see a market.
  24. Nice work area though! Beautifully laid out and organized. <sigh....> I wish. Mine looks like a rummage sale bin.
  25. Ya `kno.... I wuz thinkin da same ting!
