  1. That looks so sweet Rich! Great colors!!!!!
  2. I love your color choice for that body style. The separation layers the colors. I also know your going to make the interior pop too. And the engine looks really nice! Your in the groove Rich, roll with it!
  3. Those BRM's are fantastic.......
  4. ....huh?
  5. Nice job Rich! Looks awesome!
  6. The valve cover reference is a good point. People pointed out a technical inaccuracy (NOT a debatable item....) and turned it into a lynch mob mentality because someone respected was wrong. Plain & simple. Think that makes us look like we care about accuracy or we just build "interpretations"? Military types build accurately. If it means spending a few dollars to obtain that end results, that's why they enjoy the hobby. They can get those results and build it correctly. Me personally, I would love to have a gas powered 1/4 scale R/C car running a worked chainsaw motor. But unfortunately I can't afford to indulge. But I'm not going to get semi-involved in the hobby and complain it's too expensive either..... Besides, Harry said it best.....
  7. That is so freakin insane....... Love the way they look! Now, back to that little jewel......
  8. Nice job Pal! Can't wait to see it finished-finished. ✌
  9. As much as I love your bug, this I find incredibly irresistible and incredibly impractical. But man, what a statement! This is the fenderless VW extreme.... and I love it!
  10. I just love watching these epic builds go together! Fantastic work Dirk. Fantastic!
  11. And you'll have the `59 by the weekend! Your gonna be real busy!
  12. Awe MAN! What a teaser shot! It's so dark..... and tiny. Hate to complain, but I did!
  13. Wow.... you got skills there Dirk. Not only is it well engineered, it's a nice, clean assembly. Yes, this is like watching an actual vehicle go together. I've been an air-cooled fan from my youth and this is a killer build. BTW: Dirk, Bill, Randy... all you guys. Every one of you are incredible inspiration to try new stuff. I know for a fact I can't build on your level. For now..... because I'm paying attention. Thanks for sharing!
  14. Rich is the man for interiors. And this is yet another nice build going together from Da Man. Those colors are going to look great. Your `59 Dodge update: I've been jammed up at work. I usually get out several times a day for a road test and can swing past the Post Office. I've been chained to my lift all week with a nightmare POS. Come Hell or high water I'll get there tomorrow and send her out. Oh, BTW: It's just the body, bumpers, taillights, and glass. No interior bucket or chassis. It has the stock wheels & tires. It says chassis included on the box, but it's gone.... Sorry! I haven't a clue where it ended up. All the glass & chrome pieces were wrapped in tissue when I bought this new years ago. It's in the mail tomorrow. Promise. Your `58 is looking great. Can't wait to see the second color.
  15. My dear old friend Mr. Manson, I just happen to have one in my collection. Knowing what it means to you, PM me your mailing address and I'll send it out this week. No way I can keep it when it belongs to you.....
  16. My sister spotted it on a Facebook page called Different Solutions and forwarded it to me. I just thought it was a cool seed-idea for people in tight quarters.
  17. You handled it the right way Rich. Not too sure how I'd react to finding a rotting fish in my car...
  18. C`mon guys!! I'm sure there's that .008% amongst us that could operate in a setting like that! I agree. The doors would never meet if it was mine.... I have a small, but entire spare bedroom in my house I use. And it's tight....
  19. Is this a great idea or what? Not that most of us would be able to close the doors....
  20. I'm with you on that point. I had the test shot in my hands at NNL East and from the character line above the wheel openings to the top of the fenders looks just....a....little....bit... too wide. <sigh....> Hope I didn't just fire the first round in a Cuda-hate response, but it DOES look real good otherwise.
  21. That's why I mentioned Tuna Boat ! Please, tell all!
  22. Let's see.... 270 miles divided by 13 MPG is roughly 26 gallons @ $4.65 a gallon plus return trip..... and tolls approx. another $35. Wow, it get's ex$pensive fast! I had the `Cuda at Englishtown for the Mopar Atlantic Nationals. Carlisle is a bit far these days. I like A/C and stereo on long trips. I'm also contemplating a 418" stroker/6 spd. swap next. Just gotta get the funding. Thanks goodness for models. I can build whatever I want on the cheap!
  23. Actually, I find it more impressive at the top end. Nitro screaming by at 320+MPH with the Earth shaking under your feet and an earthquake in your chest. Kind of like being in the pit at a Lamb of God concert.... only scarier.
  24. Rich, ALL old Mopars were strange! Your old Tuna Boat was cool..... and yes, it was an interesting color combo. The yellow & black will pop nicely on your build for sure. And Peter's build with the pink & charcoal.... I really like that! And thanks for the heads-up on preventing a string-cheese incident Chris.
