  1. Congratulations Dude! Glad to hear your back on track. When your ready, let one of us know and we'll bang the drum, so to speak... and get those offers happening. Think about supplies you may need also. Best of luck to you & your family!
  2. We finally broke down and bought a Mac Notebook. After my old PC & Lap Top flamed out leaving me just my phone to work with I had enough. The Apple system is new, but I'm getting the hang of it as it's only been a few days now. I'm off today I figured I'd stop in and say HI and play a bit. Now for a photo-post test...... Yeah.... she's good
  3. I tend to cap it at $100 for something really neat, but my record was just under $400 for a mint original issue AMT Hurst Hemi under Glass kit. But it has to be a rare built-up or a nice resin for me to drop that C note.... I hate paying $25 for a new issue as it is! I remember the $1.98 days back when.... <%$#@ IT> I'm channeling my Father!
  4. I'd rather watch my dog lick his....belly instead of watching something I'm much less interested in. Just me though, as I remember Speedvision and when The Nashville Network had a heavy motorsport schedule. Back then it appeared to be more enthusiast oriented, instead of the scripted drama-junk on now.
  5. Just what we need besides NASCAR.... Football & UFC I'd rather watch my dog lick himself.
  6. WOAH! Re-pops of that Valiant availiable in resin?!?!?!
  7. Wow.... that is soooooo F'in cool. I know guys in the Mopar community that would have seizures seeing that car modified like that but I think it's awesome! You certainly know how to surround yourself with interesting projects!
  8. Who compiled this laughable list of so-so cars?
  9. I agree. Those look nice but wow.... $17!
  10. Just reviewed your photo album: Wow..... Your '77 Hemi Monaco is a stand-out Your Hurst cars are beautiful And every build has great paint Thanks for sharing !
  11. Stunning build in the right color for that body style. Awesome paint & assembly.
  12. Cool build!!!!! Great use for an odd-ball kit!
  13. WOAH! Stop right there and grab the camera!
  14. Everyone should save at least one vintage car in their lifetime. And as many shelter Dogs as possible....
  15. Never mind, just found out health reasons forced him go close. The Land of Ooohs & Ahhhs bought out the inventory. Nothing available for sale or viewing, suspect it all to be e-Bay'ed. Another piece of our hobby gone.....
  16. Local question for local people about LHS closing: Last Saturday me & the Mrs. were out and about near Freeport, so we went to Dave's Hobby's. I was broken hearted to see it gone.... store is sub-divided into an insurance office, and the other still being renovated, so this happened recently. Anyone know what happened???? For you out of town'ers, Dave's was old-school to the hilt. Not uncommon to walk in and see a CASE of Cox slot car bodies or 30 yr old annuals amongst the new releases. Allegedly, Dave had a treasure-trove on premises, and else where, of everything your heart desired. I tried the Yellow Pages to see if he relocated, and the address is the same and the reviews section was loaded with people asking the same thing, where did he go? So, anyone know? As I type this I'm hoping Storm Sandy didn't take him out. Freeport is on the south shore .....
  17. '67 engine cover is a one-year stamping. It's in between the long pointed early models and the later short lids(to clear the required large bumpers) of the '68 & later. The doors also were one year only as the had raised pads under the door handles, which were one year only items too. Throw in the later fenders with the early bumpers and it IS unique. I owned a '67 Cal-Look back in the day..... Sweet car.
  18. Fabulous a usual..... Carry on
  19. I'm in a poorly ventilated shop surrounded with black top and every car that pulls in the shop is a furnace. I've ingested 7 cans of seltzer since 8:00am and haven't pee'd in 3 hours..... Yeah, it's hot. I've lost 4lbs this week... Then my Wife will ask me to BBQ tonight...
  20. Forgive me for correcting you, but are sure you didn't mean to advise on K&S brass? That's the brass supplier (to my knowledge...) for the hobby.
  21. I have no idea of the inferred reference. I don't watch much TV if that's where it's from.....
  22. That is soooo freakin cool! I have a few of those Ramchargers kits stashed away. Thank you for some inspiration!
  23. Hard to free style in replica stock..... And it's "Bro"
  24. Not to poop in the punch bowl, but..... Bill. Have you considered putting this build on hold until the new Revell 'Cuda kit hits the streets? It's bound to be more accurate than what's availiable now. I had the test shot in my hands at NNL East. Aside from the belt line being a touch off , it looked really nice...... I mean, generations to come will be referencing this car as the definition of a Scale Model.
