This past Sunday there was a car show at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, N.Y. Me & Amy took the Barracuda and was enjoying the day. As soon as we get there we learn that a few Barris cars were there. Cool! Then I here that George himself was in attendance. Nah, no way would he come to Long Islan..... WHOAH! That's GEORGE BARRIS !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Notice whats behind us?

And as for the original question (sorry!) the Revell piece in the Dart kit is nice. If you really want a nice one, get the Ross Gibson resin kit. But it'll cost as much as the entire Dart kit....

Regardless, if anyone notices the deck height difference in scale, stay away from them. NOTHING good will come from THAT encounter. They look soooo close in scale.... but if your off your medication, you can always sand the deck before attaching the heads and file-fit the intake and be done with it! Fun stuff to ponder!

Actually...... The 400 & 383 are B engines The 413 & 440 are RB (raised block) engines The Hemi is loosely based an a 413/440 block

It's a 1/18 Highway 61 die cast `68 Barracuda (67-8 has the hood inserts...) and I plan on building a replica of my car.

Yeah, I know many of you build year-round, but I build during the Fall into Spring, and I'm getting ready to get the bench organized again. Wow, interesting contributions guys! While several responses are opposite from each other, I've done all at different times! I've had my chaotic noisy days at work where I've built in silence at home. I've also had nights with Slipknot or Korn blaring. Seasons play a part too. Nothing like listening to some vintage Jazz during a snowy night. My bench is next to a window in the spare bedroom I use and with just the swing down hobby lights on I can get a nice view outside. Summertime, when my neighbors are loud (which happens in Queens constantly....) and the windows are open, is when your more likely to hear volume in the hobby room. I use Pandora and my range of stations is varied. While I'm not a TV person, I'll sometimes listen to what my Wife is watching downstairs if it's something informative as opposed to entertainment. But then again, if she's baking or house cleaning and has the home theater cranked, well... then I listen to what ever she's listening to! And of course, I share floor space with a 110 lb. dog that has to be at my feet at all times.....

Let me fix that: Without a doubt, one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. ® That will be the caption in every photo album this jewel ends up in.

Looks like within the next month or so I'll be cleaning off the workbench. Hopoefully all the great started projects will continue, aside from my attempts. I know how hard it is to build in scale during the summer months when the full-sized one is more fun.

Funny you should mention MPG.... I drove the `Cuda to Englishtown and I kept track of the mileage: 13 on the highway!!!!

Your beautiful Merc build reminds me of the time I saw a dead-stock Willy's Americar at Englishtown for the Vintage Drags. Seeing a car stock that's an icon when modified is definitely an attention getter. Not to mention your builds are stunning.....

1999 for me, and my first purchase was a set of chrome inner grille surrounds for my Barracuda. Since that purchase its been a steady rotation of Car Parts, Models, or Basses/Music items.
