  1. Bren, as the guys have said, the weathering is really exceptional. That dolly looks like it has been neglected for a VERY long time. A day or two in the shop for the mechanics to give it a good inspection, checking brakes, air system and electrical. Maybe pull the hubs and change the oil as it’s in the barn while they are at it. What an outstanding job. I can’t wait to see the rest of the project. ….
  2. Wow, Steve. You are polishing this into a real gem ! Some of the corrections seem small at first glance but makes a HUGE difference in the long run , this is a real beauty. Your attention to the fine details are paying off big time. Love the updates, well worth book marking for a future build. Keep going. This is great.
  3. I certainly could take it apart and see what the issue is for sure. Probably should. 👍
  4. I like the ‘spot’ light one. Something like that would work. I’m kind of cheesed off that my go to light walked off the job but I guess they don’t last forever. Thanks for the pic
  5. Thanks. Didn’t want to beat a dead horse i it had been asked and answered. Just that there are a ‘plethora’ of lights out there and things change daily it seems.
  6. My trusted bench light has 'given up the ghost' , as my old dad used to say....it was a real good one, and halogen, it was easily adjustable to lower or raise as I needed, I am going to have to look for a replacement, I am just curious as to what you guys use... I already have one with a magnifier, and I would like something that is fairly direct light, and bright..... and adjustable..... so any ideas would be most interesting...
  7. Man, this is coming along FAST. Lookin good bud. !!
  8. That’s exactly what I said. This build is magnificent, I can’t imagine what might be next ….no matter what the subject matter the build will be epic !
  9. Geez, Brian, ALL that AND a trip to the Post Office. You’re a busy man. Dash is looking spot on !
  10. The whole build is striking, it was and still is a great idea from conception to execution, it is turning out to be a fabulous build of a cool old truck anyone would be proud to wheel down the highway.
  11. That was a great update, Steve. And , don’t look at the pe IP as ‘cheating’ , the guys that build airplanes use massive amount of pe and pe instrument panels all the time and they don’t think its cheating. Those CTM sets are awesome and really high light the interiors beautifully. This Pete is a beauty. On our tractor where I worked , instead of a ‘deck plate’ we had some spread plate with some very short angle iron along the 4 edges. We used to throw spare chains there sometimes …. Maybe a ‘screen’ material instead of the solid plate would work? Looks realistic and see thru….. ? Just a random thought.
  12. Good to ‘see you back’ for a bit, Gary. The A/C looks absolutely awesome. She is a stunner. Take care of yourself and take it easy …..
  13. Wow. You are really moving fast with this one. Love the way the air cleaners turned out, they look great as does the headache rack. Good job bud.
  14. Very cool. And like Brian and Steve say, the pallet and wrapped boxes are a fabulous touch and looks very realistic. Top job !
  15. Thanks Steve, I’m just playing around with some extra details. The paint wasn’t too bad actually. I used Model Master RAF Trainer Yellow enamel. I had a grey primer under it and maybe that helped. Thanks for checking in and the kind comments.
  16. See what I mean ….. you look at a picture , jump on the computer push the mouse around, touch a button and ‘poof’ there is the part ! You are WAY ahead of me buddy. This is just cool. I love your air cleaner design. Looks great to me and will really look good on the truck. Keep going. Very fun to watch.
  17. Oh for sure. I think he would like that. Thats a nice thing you’re doing. We need more of that in this world. I’m doing the same.
  18. Incredible precision. I really don’t know how you are going to top this build, Brian. Magnificent.
  19. This is just plain cool ! Glad you could get the holes onto the steps. They look great.
  20. Yeah, I have, he is dealing with a few health issues at the moment as he mentioned above, but seems to be happy and upbeat, just not a lot of time to dedicate to the bench for now...... I'm sure he will be back before we know it... I miss him here...
  21. What a great update, Steve ! This is a great tutorial and well worth book marking for future builds. This is quickly becoming a real gem. Your attention to details and the mods, even the smallest ones is making this a superb and accurate build. Excellent updates and as Brian said, your photography skills match your building skills. A real joy to watch.
