  1. Nice looking build.
  2. Very sharp looking rig, Brian! Great job on the detail work!
  3. Thanks for the tip about the Dremel. It will definitely come in handy. I feel the tank needs to sit just a bit lower and I need to shorten the front of the frame. Still have to add the 5th wheel plate and it’s frame. We run a fleet of 1600 vac trailers and they are each set up a little different. So yes, many ways to set this up. As far as trucks, we run 386 Pete’s with tin can bunks. I may convert the NewRay 386 to a 32” bunk or use the Italeri Pete 377 and add a little bunk. Not sure yet.
  4. Thanks Dan. I ordered a bunch of plastic from Evergreen as well. This will definitely be trial an error.
  5. Very rough mock up. Valves, tires, rims ordered from MoLuminum. Still need to reinforce frame or I may build a completely new frame from scratch.
  6. Thanks for the information about the valves. Much appreciated.
  7. My next project will be a pneumatic tank with modified trailer ( thanks Jeff). This build will definitely test my scratch building skills ( or lack there of). I will be modifying an AMT trailer and scratch building the pipes and lines. It will be a slow process but hopefully a successful one.
  8. Great looking build. Everything came together very well.
  9. Very nice build! Looks absolutely amazing.
  10. Great looking build, Charles! The colors work together well and your craftsmanship is amazing.
  11. Just finished the Alaskan Hauler kit. The kit was a blast to build and went together well for an older kit. The paints are Rustoleum Forest Green and Apple Red. The weathering comes from many different MIG pigments and Testors CREATEFX stains in both enamel and acrylic.
  12. Final update. I will be putting this under glass. I’m not super happy with my final weathering but it it what it is. Thanks everyone for following along and your comments.
  13. Herman, you did an amazing job on this build! Thank you for posting your build process.
  14. Really like the interior colors. Nice work.
  15. Thank you. I really like the look of this kit.
  16. Thanks Jim. Much appreciated.
  17. Thanks Ron. I can remember building this kit in my younger days as well. From what I remember, it didn’t turn out this nice, lol.
  18. Thanks Jeff. I do too. This is an awesome kit that deserves a re-issue.
  19. Love to see your build progress Charles, great detail!
