  1. Now that looks nice! The seat decals are great.
  2. That looks very nice, I love the colour. looks like an original promo.
  3. Beautiful interior, very cleanly done. The detail under the hood and chassis is very nice, and I like the parking brake cable. Some really nice touches on this.
  4. WTF? Is that a model kit of a Pot Noodle? xD there's even a prawn in there and everything! Ha, that's great, I like that!
  5. Looking good. I like the wheels.
  6. Looks better already, Tom. Looks like the roof is what needs the most attention.
  7. haha, it's a hard one, isn't it? 40's and 50's Fords seem to be quite a popular choice here.
  8. That's pretty good, £15 is not bad if you're looking for a factory colour. Nice Parisienne. I almost bought an American classic in the 90's, it was a '71 Rambler Ambassador, RHD too! but it was rotten as old apple so I left it.
  9. That's some precision detail, I love it!
  10. haha, thanks, Gene.
  11. Cheers, Dan.
  12. Thanks, Dave. The over spray is one of many tips I've picked up on since joining this forum, most of my builds I do this on now, Lol. I don't mind the roof obscuring the interior cos I know what happened last time I tried to make a convertible '65! haha.
  13. Cheers, mate. Lol, yeah I have been blasting through them a bit! I think my next build will be number 23 I think.
  14. Thanks. I'll have to look out for that rubberised paint when I'm there next time, I'll give it a try. What's the prices on a can they do? or is it trade/bulk only? There was a company I used years ago for mixing aerosols but can't remember the name, it was something like Multy-Mix or Poly-Mix? something like that they were called.
  15. Make a cheap booth, man. I have one in the shed made of fibre board and an old Vent-Axia fan, just no heater in the shed. If I had room in my kitchen I'd put the booth in there. Hycote is excellent paint, I've used it many times and covers much better than Halfords paints, though both brands are just as good quality, I use Halfords mostly only because it's a walk away from me otherwise I'd use Hycote every time.
  16. ah, cheers. I checked it out, their House of Kolor aerosols looks good.
  17. Thanks, Stephen. Yes, I love the big barges of the 60's, GM were at the top of their game at that time. I just paint in my shed if it's not too cold, other times I'm lazy and will just hold the model by a stick and spray out the back door in the kitchen. I just let it dry by the radiator then.
  18. This is the AMT '65 Grand Prix "By Barris" I bought it cheap on ebay with missing parts. I used the left over stock parts from my recent '65 Pontiac Grand Slam custom build. The only parts I used from this kit was the body, chassis base, interior tub and engine. The mix of the two kits must be at least forty years apart but everything fitted perfectly. Annoyingly, one of the parts missing in this kit was the battery and I didn't have a spare. Body colour is Solar Gold with satin black vinyl roof, interior is Champagne Gold and Solar Gold. Carpet is beige with a light dusting of Aztec Bronze. Sorry about the dark pictures, I was hoping to get some outside shots but the rain shows no signs of stopping, so I had to settle for the old picture frame and baking tray! Enjoy the pics:)
  19. And another one done! More picture in Under Glass:)
  20. Cool, lots of Tamiya and Jo-Han so far.
  21. Yes, favourite builds because everyone will have a completely different experience to any given build. I enjoy building the '62 Buick Electra, whereas that kit might not have been so rewarding to someone else.
